I live in cold climate (Wisconsin, it's -14 today) and just ordered this battery as it has a low temp shut off.

I've done the underhood battery dance, the under seat battery dance, and the fan at setting 5 dance several times now. Heck I've had my seat heater on since October. The only way I can keep the truck out of sleep mode is by resetting the BMS, but then it goes back to the same situation after several days. I drive 18 minutes (13 miles) one way to and from work each day with the truck and am sick of it going to sleep and not having interior lights.

I've got a '23 Powerboost and the only reason I haven't sent it to the dealer yet for warranty is I fear it'll just be a waste of time right now because they'll tell me the batteries are fine. Plus my dealer is a half hour away and my time is worth more than the cost of the batteries right now.

I thank you @HammaMan and @Snakebitten for all your posts and information on this subject and I assume all responsibility for anything I do to my truck.

Having said that, isn't it ironic that now that temperature matters (LFP), my "electrified" vehicles are experiencing a RARE mother earth phenomenon? ?

If I were a betting man, I'd wager big time that this is the only time either the Powerboost or the Mach-E will be draped in the white stuff.

By the way, I did walk close enough to the barn to get a reading on the battery.

Rock solid in these rare below freezing temps. Wind chill around 10F, but the barn means the truck has been sitting at around 27-30F for the last 24 hours or so.

Short term update with my X2 parallel setup. Should I start a separate thread?

When this battery is below 32°F it will not accept a charge in order to preserve itself. But once the BMS sees a temp over 33° or so it will allow the charging to start. And it will charge quickly if needed, I saw as high as 24 amps with 15.2 volts on the battery, but wasn’t able to get a screenshot.

10 year (or 2200 charging cycle) free replacement is what swayed me to buy this battery, but I’m very impressed with the quality. It wasn’t cheap, but I seem to have gotten what I paid for………so far.

For those that don't mind using the storage tray, you can get self-heating batteries. Haven't checked on the smallest ones, but when they sense a charge voltage present, they turn on their heating elements and begin heating the battery up until it's safe to charge.

Dam. I'm forced to read and reread this thread. I have a new h7 agm duralast battery.
I have a 24ah agm battery. I have reset the bms upteen times. I shut the truck off when I'm showing 13.4 volts.

It's still going into battery safe mode the very second I turn off the truck!! This is so freaking frustrating!!!
13 volts and still wants to sleep!!!!

With temps here -5 I'm want my remote start.
My audo car sound buddy said he can install drone mobile into my truck. I have it in all my other trucks. Cellular connection to remote start.

You say you see 13.4 while the truck is running, but what are you seeing without the alternator running?

This was from today. Just after I turned it off it went into battery saver mode. I never see the battery below 12.6.

I tried to see the battery level now but the app sometimes refuses to update. I often need to uninstall the app and reinstall. I wish they had a update button.

That's proof enough for me to admit that your truck is triggering battery save mode under conditions that every other truck does not.

Or put another way, your truck shouldn't be in battery saving mode at any point today. That's really peculiar. Now you got my attention! I want to know more about what actually triggers Battery Saving Mode.

Looking for anything concerning Battery Saver not deactivating when it should. This is the only reference I have found in the service manual.

It's only a 2-step pinpoint procedure.

Using the info you sent and a subscription to all data is located the bcm. I reconnected the connector several times. This morning I was able to remote start the first time in days.

Man that bit of research you did for me just might have solved my problem. Thank you
