  1. Max haul package ride difference vs standard tow package

What tires come on the max tow? FWIW, I have a standard tow Powerboost and could tell a difference in ride quality between the stock tires and E-rated tires. Stock tires it feels like I'm riding on a cloud, but the rear end gets a little waggy when towing real heavy loads. E rated tires I...
  2. Who else tows heavy with a F150 and should've bought a SD?

E range tires are only going to make a difference on your fuel mileage when not towing, but are a going to be a huge help when towing in all other aspects. I have them on my winter wheels, lost 5 mpg in the winter using them, but some of that can also be attributed to the cold. Then again I...
  3. PSA - Reverse Auto Braking

I had to laugh how a funny thread about doing something dumb turned into a scolding. :ROFLMAO: Sarcasm apparently doesn't translate on the internet.
  4. Vehicle Vibration - Dealer can’t figure it out

Can confirm that the minor vibration I had at highway speeds was due to my winter wheels and tires. Put the stock wheels and tires back on and it feels like its riding on a cloud, no vibration at all. I will say though that this truck seems to transmit much more road feel that my '14 did. I...
  5. Electric motor under powered?

I'm longing for the days when modifications to the electric portion of our hybrid system with larger batteries and/or larger electric motors becomes more popular as I'd really like to use more of the electric motor on my normal commute. Mostly just for the sake of using it. It bothers me as an...
  6. Kind've a plug in....

I like to think mine are doing the "O face". :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
  7. Kind've a plug in....

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Funny you mention that cause the lettering on the plug (that you can't see because of the colors) would signify that the ground plug goes on top. Therefore it technically is installed upside down right now, however, it also can be flipped around easily enough...
  8. Kind've a plug in....

Always kind've wished the Powerboost was a plug in. So I decided to have some fun with the 3D printer at work. Next one I'll keep the body of the plug black so you can see the silver prongs easier. I might have some gold colored filament around here that would work better than the silver too...
  9. '23 PB, Plenty of Acceleration

I felt the same way when I got my Powerboost, it would give my Mustang a run for it's money from a dig. Though I'm not as lucky as you with the Shelby, I just have a '14 GT/CS, still plenty of fun though.
  10. Vehicle Vibration - Dealer can’t figure it out

I would say the key thing is finding a good tire shop. I've had bad luck with the big name chain type tire shops in the form of bent rims, scratched rims, and the last one didn't even put balancing weights on. They will argue with you that they did everything right cause they just don't care...
  11. Vehicle Vibration - Dealer can’t figure it out

I get the exact same issue with my winter tires vs the stock wheels and tires. I attribute it to the aggressive D rated off road tires and tire balance. Though I'm about the find out if the vibration goes away when I switch back to my summer tires this weekend.
  12. Electric motor under powered?

Define "average". I"m routinely getting 20+ mpg with my Powerboost for the driving that I do to and from work. Winter time I'm in the 22 mpg range, summer time with stock tires I'm bouncing on the south end of 30 mpg. Not bad for a 1/2 ton truck. For reference my previous truck was a '14...
  13. '23 PB, Plenty of Acceleration

At least it's while you're doing something fun, my wife looks at me like I'm an idiot all the time. In her defense though......I generally don't give her much reason not too.:ROFLMAO: My wife gives me crap about owning high HP vehicles, keeps telling me she doesn't see the reason for all the...
  14. Show us what your F-150 tows

Son's car broke down just as he got to work the other day, so I took the afternoon off to go and help him pick it up. The Powerboost didn't even know it was back there, I don't think I got into boost once on the hour trip home. Funniest thing was I got 11.8 mpg on the way out with an empty...
  15. Show us what your F-150 tows

Other than the normal snowmobile trailer, or utility trailer with some lumber on it from one of the big box stores, here's some fun ones. Weight wise I could feel it back there, but power wise it was nothing. I actually like hauling the skid loader home from work with my truck more than the...
  16. Powerboost Reverse Beeping Discussion

^ this. Someone who doesn't own an EV, never will, prolly doesn't even drive themselves thought it was a good idea and got a pat on the back for making a change. You're forgetting a subset of people in your rankings however, those of us that don't really care either way and aren't going to...
  17. Testing an Aux batt solution...

Mine does the same thing. Going to check the BCM connections tonight now to see if there's an improvement. Glad I checked back on this thread.
  18. Testing an Aux batt solution...

I live in cold climate (Wisconsin, it's -14 today) and just ordered this battery as it has a low temp shut off. I've done the underhood battery dance, the under seat battery dance, and the fan at setting 5 dance several times now. Heck I've had my seat heater on since October. The only way I...
  19. PowerBoost Mileage Between Oil Changes

Having replaced cam phasers on a '14 F150 Ecoboost 4 times I will stick with the 5K oil change interval instead of following the oil change nanny ever again, especially on a 3.5 ecoboost of any variety. Oil changes on a 3.5 are way easier than on a 2.7, they have a 1" diameter plastic drain...
  20. Loss of acceleration. Mine is a2021 poweboost and it happens mostly in turns

Yeah I read through all your responses. Mine doesn't do it consistently, however, I would really prefer it to not be the transmission. Sort of hurts the resale value to replace the whole transmission, then again I plan on driving this truck into the ground anyways. Glad yours is working fine...
