Yours is correct, it shows “software updates” followed by the two Mac addresses under Sync MAC Addresses. Mine doesn't show software updates and the MAC addresses. I had it in the past but it is gone now.

Which then does sound like a concern if you're not getting certain OTAs. For me, I can never get OTAs (long story)... I wish you could borrow my MACs ?

Over the years not all versions of SYNC displayed the "software updates" or "system updates" Mac addresses some versions do and some dont.

Well look on the bright side, those macs are just +1 of the hotspot / bluetooth if you want to know what they are.

I'm really not getting OTA updates and since the BCM isn't something I can install with FRDS it is a bit of a concern. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for looking!

Depending on how far you were behind you may have resolved future update problems. I also have a 2021 and I had OTAs in December January and nothing until last month. They don't send much at this point there is not much left to fix on these trucks.

My last OTA was in April and not much showing in PTS. Truck is running smooth and no problems as far as I can tell. Personally, I just would like any little bug fixes that are available....... my OCD kicking in... and 20 years working with automation and always tweeking the settings...

Thank you for all the guidance you offered - FYI I managed to fix the issue of the modules not showing up online. @rugedraw was kind enough to get me a abt file for the GWM that we restored and the all modules are now online.

I'm in need of all the help I can get on the 1.71 equivalent update here.. I recently got the usb drive to take, it completed the file transfer and I had the Restart required prompt pop up and followed all the forum advice. battery charger on, turned off the pickup, left the door open for 15 minutes then shut the door and left it for 20 minutes, came back and turned it on, but no update message. I do not get the restart required loop like others experienced when updating the truck either, just straight up no messages or prompts. I am back to having no numbers in my about software tab like it went back into update limbo. It did something though, the screen brightness goes completely dark/off when the headlights kick on now so..thats new.

Put the USB into your laptop and see if FDRS says it was successful.

@Drock9921 I agree with this. Do a network scan with FDRS to see if the APIM update is gone and replaced with a GWM or TCU update.

Sounds Good, I guess I will be springing for another two day license since my first one ran out due to roadblocks from this update previously.

That's how the process goes to get out of the broken Sync version. You need a license to make the update and then another one once the update takes to wrap things up. Hopefully it went through; that would be a very good thing.

I couldn't agree more with ya. Do you think my sync version/revision would still be blank if the update took though? I've had the vehicle communications turned off and that was my ticket to get out of update limbo (i.e got version numbers back) to get the update to kick off initially, but I don't know if the update needs the comms enabled to finish the update.
