Nope. The only way is with a dealer login. There is no work-around. It'll come OTA, though. There’s gotta be someone on this thread that’s got the magic words to update the bcm!? @rugedraw @Jesse-Infotainment
I and several other believe PATS has something to do with it, but updating the BCM and cloning a key are two different functions. I still fail to see why you need NFTSA credentials just to update the module, but I digress.I tried to sign up with our Ford body builder number …It Wanted a copy of my drivers license and my soc # to finish application. i Guess because of PATS calibration…must be worried about people stealing cars.![]()
I heard from someone, who heard from someone, who heard from someone that it is an update that was either to come OTA, or only the dealers were to install only on specific vehicles. I'd take that for what it's worth...I and several other believe PATS has something to do with it, but updating the BCM and cloning a key are two different functions. It has and will continue to come OTA.I heard from someone, who heard from someone, who heard from someone that it is an update that was either to come OTA, or only the dealers were to install only on specific vehicles. I'd take that for what it's worth...
Yeah, I know. The theory was it would make it so you can either get it OTA if your vehicle is supposed to get it, or the dealership could install it if your specific vin requires it, but is lowly folks with an FDRS sub couldn't install something that wasn't meant for our specific vin. Doesn't really make sense to me, I think they just screwed the reqs up.It has and will continue to come OTA.
It does feel a bit like a strategy to ONLY inhibit the non-dealership account from installing.Yeah, I know. That is the GWMI got this over the air update recently. Doesn't; sound like the BCM.![]()
You'll now get OTA 10.1.0 in the next few days, it's an APIM update and will bring you a new SYNC version 24147.I got this over the air update recently. Doesn't; sound like the BCM.![]()
