As I have eluded to before, when I purchased my 2022 Eco-Boost 3.5, I was not able to get certain equipment that I really wanted. (e.g. Extendable towing mirrors, Nav package, Sirius XM)
I was stuck using the Rube Goldberg "Android Auto" instead. I'd like to meet the idiot who came up with that solution in a dark alley. Last night I was attempting to delete a location from the Android Auto. It couldn't be done using the truck display. I had to fumble around in the phone to do it. It was added via the truck display initially.
Two days before, I got a software update on the phone. It totally changed the icons for Android Auto, and in fact I had major difficulty just reconnecting to the truck.
This truck is completely blind to the front when trying to park it. A camera would have made all the difference.
Those factors, and Fords apparent inability to develop a solution for the broken axle bolts, the recalls for the wiper motor, and a defective battery and a defective headlight switch all make me sorry I bought this $60,000 beast. This will probably be my last disappointing "Ford experience." With the truck being 2 years old and having 11,000 miles on it I am extremely unhappy.
