Terry, that's long been obvious to anyone who has followed your posts on this forum. Every one of them expresses un-ending dissatisfaction about your purchase starting on the day you bought it missing features you wanted.

IMO at this point it really doesn't matter why or how you ended up in this position, and it certainly doesn't matter what other owner's experiences or opinions about their trucks may be.

It's clear that posting on this forum has done nothing to assuage your dissatisfaction, has not yielded a 'fix' to make your truck satisfactory for you, has done nothing to improve the situation as evidenced by your post today. Yeah, one might reasonably wonder why you continue to post, but continuing is certainly your prerogative.

More to the point, I, for one, must wonder why you don't eliminate this source of frustration from your retired life? I'm retired and certainly appreciate it should be a time of long-earned happiness.

I realize there's probably a financial cost involved in that, but aren't there things more important than those dollars in your life at this point? Maybe not a brand-new truck but there is almost certainly a vehicle out there in the marketplace which would make you happier day-to-day and which you can afford.

I urge you to move beyond talking about this thorn in your life and act to remove it. I suggest it's time to stop suffering and diligently look for the more satisfactory solution that is waiting somewhere for you.

Sincerely wishing you the best in your retirement.
Just curious what you suggest he do ? I am in a similar situation with ‘22 Limited PB. No one from Ford is offering solutions and the loss I would take trading this piece of crap off is a very hard pill to swallow. I was hoping this truck would take me well into my retirement years .. but not sure I trust enough to do that. It’s astonishing that manufacturers don’t care or help in these cases.

May I step in and kick this dead horse? If it wasn't what you wanted...........why did you buy it? As a Ford shareholder, I don't think our bottom line will suffer if you go get a beautiful new Chevy or Ram. From what their owners tell me they're all perfect from day one.
As a Ford Share holder , why does your company not support the crappy trucks it builds . Indeed not all of them are , but damn some support for those of us blessed to one of the PITA versions would go along way .

Bought my 23 Limited without looking at the window sticker. Had done my research prior and the Limited had all the options I wanted as standard, so I figured this beautiful white Limited was my "retirement" truck... NOT!

Only after getting the truck home did I realize that Ford had deleted several of the options I was expecting to be included (heated steering wheel, multicontour seats, active park assist, and advanced security). Add on numerous, continually occurring fault codes with the BCM (that I can see in PTS) that the three dealerships I have brought it to (including the one I purchased it from) have said nothing is wrong, this is the last F-150 for me. Way too many electrical gremlins way too often. Had no issues at all with my previous 2013 and 2018.

I can completely understand why the OP is not happy with his truck.

as someone who has owned multiple brands and is NOT biased, i beg to differ.
ok……I’m not biased either. I’ve owned all four in the last 15 years. Many of my friends own differing models as well.

They all have their issues, none are perfect.

none are perfect correct. however SOME have more issues than others. if you can’t admit that then you’re for sure biased. sorry not sorry.

yes, some have more issues than others
and in this case my F150 has had more issues than my other previous trucks. it’s a fun rig when working don’t get me wrong, but when problems arise it becomes a total f*cking nightmare for me. especially for someone who uses it as a daily work truck.

The older I get the more I sound like my dad, not that I hate that, but reading this thread has really reminded me of one of his classics.

My suggestion is as clear as I can make it in the post you quoted.

I didn't suggest that the solution would be without some cost ('swallowing a bitter pill'), I suggest that if you suffer the continuous pain of a thorn, the immediate pain of extraction (or swallowing the bitter pill) is usually outweighed by the long-term relief.

Nor did I suggest that the solution would be equivalent to a 'perfect' version of your current truck (wouldn't even speculate that such exists for you or the OP). I just suggested that there are very likely solutions in the marketplace that will yield more happiness in the long run.

If you think that Ford or anyone else is going to mitigate your pain and drop the 'perfect' solution in your lap, well, keep hoping, keep suffering, and good luck. IME it's most likely that relief will only come by your own action toward long-term relief, and there's usually little or nothing to be gained by delay.

If / when you find a meaningfully different reality, please share with all of us.

Wishing you, like the OP, the best.

OP, if the vehicle didn't have the options you really wanted, you should have considered leasing it.
