I do a full format the first time I format a drive, then a quick format after that. It just feels right lol

BTW guys what is the last sync 4 version
Is it 23157? Rev 915

23291 for 12" screens.

There have been trucks getting stuck on a version before that. Something wrong with Ford servers not showing all updates. Not sure if that is resolved yet.

Has anybody ran into a issue where the GWM times out during the Module Update Repair? I've tried a few times with the same results. Not sure what else to try to get passed this. this is for april 2021 build Platinum. Vin#1FTFW1E85MFB40478 thanks for any help!

Curious...why a Module Repair? Are you trying to do a PMI?

EDIT: Try PMI and when asked if the module is existing say NO. That should bring you back to the start.

I am trying to do the TSB on the 21's that are stuck on 1.7.1

Edit: For some reason, whatever you're doing is not reporting to vehicle history. I see no FDRS activity under your VIN. It just says:

"FDRS was used to ID the vehicle but no tools were used so there is no data or information to display."

Edit#2 Are you sure you are allowing FDRS to establish the ethernet connection between steps?

Yes, I plug in the Ethernet cable when asked and hit ok. It goes thru and deletes the sync database, and on the next step of the GWM it tries to start then the bar just flashes a few time and I get the time out message

I dont see one. I typically answer fairly quick.

On this whole thing. I havent ever had it work for me. I bought all the recommended ethernet adapters.. Tried and it would never work for me. SO I don't have anything to add that would be any help

And that's why I said he was brave. Most dealers don't even try this; they just swap out the APIM. I've seen it done successfully in FDRS only a handful of times.

ok so your saying it's the Apim that's keeping this from going thru...? I haven't seen anybody else with this issue, That's why I was trying it do the repair. I had seen a video where somebody did the module update repair and his went thru without issue.

There is a long video on YouTube of someone doing the process. It will rarely work but you might get lucky.
