i have a Shumacher charger with 10a charge and 50a boost... failed on both setting. i may have to get a new battery. I'm sure ford won't replace it.You need truck on external power supply if you plan to do any updates with FDRS.
I have had good luck using a similar charger. Just make sure the battery is fully charged before you start and keep the charger on during the update.i have a Shumacher charger with 10a charge and 50a boost... failed on both setting. i may have to get a new battery. I'm sure ford won't replace it.
Any time!I want to publicly thank @Jesse-Infotainment for helping me out this morning. I applied all of my available updates and after the final IPC update, which appeared to complete as expected, I received dozens of DTCs. After walking me through running a PMI on the IPC and resetting a few modules in Forscan, I was left with one DTC for my IPMA that I couldn't get to clear. He took a look at my truck and it was related to me disabling the reverse sounder in Forscan. He connected in and made a few changes and now everything is clear!
Very excited to be up to date for the first time since Nov 22 and hopefully just one step away from BC 1.4!
Thanks Jesse!
I did receive the prompt about removing voice app this morning and was curious about it where you can disable the voice controls fairly easily... now I know! Thanks for sharingGuys, I know someone recently posted that while doing an APIM update, FDRS asked about deleting voice app. Someone on the MME forums posted this SSM about the issue. Just in case anyone else comes across this, this is why it is happening and what to do it it happens to you.

That is something that is well-known amongst the veteran DIYers here. There is a mention of it in the second post here, but no mention of not using capital letter. Mine is also named "sync".Figured i would share some experience i had. When updating the APIM make sure you change your USB drive name to something with no capital letters, and no spaces. For example, I kept getting the “USB error…” and the name of my USB drive was literally “USB Drive”. I changed the name to “sync” and boom it all started working. I tried 2 previous USB before realizing the system really is THAT picky.
It’s not the caps it’s the length that’s why I always tell people no more than 4 letters. Ford or syncFigured i would share some experience i had.
