After a lively debate they agreed to look at it. I think they wanted me gone.

Just stay calm Brother. Next time try talking with the Service Manager. The Service Advisors don’t know to much. If the Service Manager does not know either, then I would go to a different Dealership.

I honestly can't remember.
But I don't think it was painful or I would remember?

If I remember right the TCU was fairly quick, maybe 20-30 minutes. I believe the APIM took a couple hours. I had quite a few other updates and the total time for all of them was around 6-7 hours.

The actual APIM update didn’t too long from what I remember. Downloading the files and transferring them to the USB is what took nearly 2 hours from what I remember.

I just did it, TCU didnt take long at all, but iirc APIM took at least 2 hours.

Thanks folks. I was trying to figure out if it's something I could do in a short afternoon or just wait until I have a solid day to do. Sounds like a few hours should be all I need.

The actual APIM update didn’t too long from what I remember. Downloading the files and transferring them to the USB is what took nearly 2 hours from what I remember.

Yup, its anywhere from a 4-6 GB file and the FDRS servers aren't the quickest by any means, so have to download it, sync it to a USB, then wait for the actual APIM update process itself.
