standing at the dealership now… they’re refusing to do anything because “everything is up to date”. Gave them all the info everyone provided here, but I’m just a stupid customer.Yeah. They will need to replace the apim.
If you want to send me the apim I can try to update it.standing at the dealership now… they’re refusing to do anything because “everything is up to date”. Gave them all the info everyone provided here, but I’m just a stupid customer.
Don't be too offended. We all have fit that........classification, if you will.standing at the dealership now… they’re refusing to do anything because “everything is up to date”. Gave them all the info everyone provided here, but I’m just a stupid customer.
After a lively debate they agreed to look at it. I think they wanted me gone.Don't be too offended. We all have fit that........classification, if you will.
Sent you a DM. Thanks for the offer. If you want to send me the apim I can try to update it.
Just stay calm Brother. Next time try talking with the Service Manager. The Service Advisors don’t know to much. If the Service Manager does not know either, then I would go to a different Dealership. After a lively debate they agreed to look at it. I think they wanted me gone.
LOL. As soon as I started talking FRDS, PMI, ESN mismatch, the tone changed.
Sent you a DM. Thanks for the offer.
I honestly can't remember. For those that applied the APIM/TCU updates equivalent to 3.5.3 & 3.5.4, about how long did it take?
If I remember right the TCU was fairly quick, maybe 20-30 minutes. I believe the APIM took a couple hours. I had quite a few other updates and the total time for all of them was around 6-7 hours. For those that applied the APIM/TCU updates equivalent to 3.5.3 & 3.5.4, about how long did it take?
I just did it, TCU didnt take long at all, but iirc APIM took at least 2 hours. For those that applied the APIM/TCU updates equivalent to 3.5.3 & 3.5.4, about how long did it take?
Yup, its anywhere from a 4-6 GB file and the FDRS servers aren't the quickest by any means, so have to download it, sync it to a USB, then wait for the actual APIM update process itself. The actual APIM update didn’t too long from what I remember. Downloading the files and transferring them to the USB is what took nearly 2 hours from what I remember.
