WORK STATION LID SPRING WEAK

I have a 2021 platinum with work station and the lid will not stay up. The springs are very weak for that heavy lid. Does anyone have a fix or heavier spring to help keep the lid up.
The spring is not worn! It was like this from day one. Lid wants to fall on your arm. Also if you want a full top tray for your console Amazon has them for like $7.00 they are great.

I did the nickle fix two years ago and haven't had an issue since. Gonna 3D print the thicker shims as soon as the STL is uploaded and will swap them out.

Agree. Time is about 5 minutes, and effort is pretty minimal. Worked for me.

The nickel fix has worked great for me, but double-stack the nickels. The work console is heavier than the non-folding lid and it needs the additional spring tension to hold it up.

I tried going through the front side to do the nickel trick. Not as spry and flexible as I was, I gave up. lol

I found the below video that removes the back of the console where you can then get the lid assembly off. Very straightforward and took me about 15 minutes. Lid dropping issue is solved!
(One thing to note is he showed a nickel on either end of the springs. I put 2 on the bottom sides instead)

Shot you all a message, I can drop a few in the mail for you for the cost of postage and a beer
I've been doing ASA with max walls, this is the strongest (IMO) and is most resistant to heat/warping.
