I think that's essentially the "Theft Alert" feature in the Security Package. My biggest issue is probably the $500 cost -- you can get a really excellent rear-facing dash cam for less than that, and some have their own power supply, like this. Not something I need/am interested in, but could...
Yeah, it needs the Ford Security Package to work. -- $80/year. That's what gets you theft alerts and start inhibit so people may already have/want that.
(Sorry if this has been posted; couldn't find it through search.)
Looks like a new security feature streaming Bed Cam has been added as a self-installed option (maybe for 24-25s only?)
In Ford app->security screen there is now an entry for "Truck Bed Live Stream" with option to add a Ford...
Don't worry, you didn't miss it last year - that kit only became available a couple of months ago! I'm going to live with my '25 Lariat a bit before any bigger changes like that (and btw the '24-25 trucks require dealer reprogramming for the column shifter to work - I'm not wild about that), but...
I think the OP meant "spray-in + bed mat" not "drop in"- that's what the screen grabs are talking about, anyway. As @Kwhiting68 and @Ham point out above, it's not at all a bad idea to throw in a bed mat to keep things from sliding around on your spray-in.
I don't know if you followed up on this, but my 2025 doesn't have the problem illustrated in the video.
The video shows the water pouring down right on the fuse box and suggests this can corrode the fuses:
But my truck has a little channel there that takes the water over the fuse box and...
Please report back! I've seen various opinions on this, but with rotational mass closer to axle and lighter total weight it must have some affect. Whether it's measurable in a real world situation is another question.
Wow, I'll contact you.
BTW, I put the new set into my F-150 and they are great, perfect fit and more coverage than OEM. Looking forward to using the carpet inserts when the weather gets nicer!
You might want to get an OBD scanner and check the main 12V battery SoC using a phone app like OBDLink. My Powerboost with 3000 miles was down to 60% or so, and yours might be even lower, which can cause problems.
