My 21 crew has a bad factory seal job with the back window of the cab. The dealer found water coming in from the bottom passenger edge of the window. The sealant used to install the window failed in one spot(guess not enough sealant). I found water soaked my back wall padding of the canopy so I took it in. Covered under bumper to bumper. They ordred a new seal kit and said this is a rare occurance. They will reinstall the window with ample sealant material to remedy. I thought maybe was the rear vents but the water they ran over the cab quickly came in that bottom corner seam. Posting in case other folks search for this. I do have a topper which I took off before taking my truck in. Also emptied out under the back seat for the tech to more easily get in there. I have a towel tucked in the area of the leak for now to catch what comes through.

I just had this fixed on my 21 Lariat. Enough water was coming in that when I accelerated and braked, it sounded like a stream running through my cab.

Good luck with the repairs! They gave me new glass and had my truck for about 2 months while they waited on parts.

That is a lot of water. Ugh. Where was the majority of the water?

Dealer gave me the option to pick it up then come back when the parts are in. They said they'd get me in the next day once the parts arrive, which I appreciated since their appts are a few weeks out for initial appointment.

It was under the panel that the carpet sits on. In between floor boards if you will

I'm having what appears to be the same or a very similar problem. I have water in the same area. So it was the actual rear window and not the sliding window seal?

Correct, it was the bottom edge of that back window. They had to order a whole new gasket to remove the window and reinstall it and seal it properly

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

Well add me to the list.. Mine has started leaking on the driver's side. Absolutely soaked the back panel board and floor carpeting. Took it in today and the head of their glass/trim department was there and she went out and confirmed the leak since it was pouring rain and you could see water dripping from the failure point just under the slider track. Hopefully they'll be able to pull the window and properly seal it...

Dealer confirmed the leak. Said it's coming from the rear slider window and they are going to replace the rear window, back panel, carpet, and for some reason cab vent on the driver's side. Going to morrow morning to get the loaner from them since they had to order parts and said it may take a couple weeks to get everything in.

Got it back today. The finished the work Friday but wanted their QA to retest it this morning. We got well over an inch of rain over the weekend and no leaks. So hopefully this fixed the issues.

Welp looks like I’ve also got a leak back there. And I’m freaking out they’re going to mess it up somehow. Looks to be coming from the same place as OP. Were they able to use the same glass? Luckily none of my carpet seems wet. No smells or odors. But I have water spots inside on drivers side back glass. But somewhat concerned about some rust. im fine with a scuff sand and be done. I’m more worried about rattles and them tearing the interior apart. (Ignore the dog hair, just got back from taking dogs to vet- and that’s how I noticed the moisture)

What the dealer fund on mine was that the bonded rubber seal between the rear glass and the slider window had started separating from the panel in the bottom corners and that was letting water seep past into the cab in the same place as yours. It was bad enough that there were visible gaps between the back glass and the weather seal material.

The dealer had to pull the B and C pillars out as well as drop headliner to replace the glass. This actually worked in my favor because there was an annoying rattle in the driver's seat belt shoulder adjuster right at ear level that they inadvertently resolved in the process. Otherwise no issues with new rattles anywhere else.

Mine goes to the dealer on Monday. I’m hoping they don’t have to go through all that. It doesn’t seem like a heavy flow of water. Nothing has ever been soaked. They seem to think a seal failed- makes sense. Said it’s remove glass. Clean; apply sealant and put glass back on. I’m hoping it’s not too intrusive and they don’t break or damage anything in the process. I have no rattles and I’m hoping it stays that way. Haha. But I’m glad in your case it worked out and it killed two birds with one stone!! Rattles drive me insane. If I get any it will go right back.
