Passenger floor wet, water leak

Looking for help and ideas here, 23 f150 with a pano roof. windshield had been resealed and still leaking. leading me to the sunroof. All drains are clear, I can pour bottles of water down them with no leaks. As soon as I close the roof and spray the roof with water, water will come running down the side curtain airbag, down the pillar plastic, past the dash, and onto the carpet.

Are your cowl drains clear of debris? This is a common problem that plagues my 2007 era Mustang GT. And seems to also be an issue with these newer trucks.

You need to clean the cowl drain on the passenger side or check the sunroof drains.

I was able to pour an entire bottle of water down the passenger front drain hole, immediately drained down. As soon as I closed the roof and sprayed it with water It starts leaking down the passenger side curtain air bag.

I suspect your dealer knows exactly where this is leaking with 90% certainty when he is writing your ticket.

If you can‘t reproduce the leak by pouring water straight down the drain, try starting further back. Park somewhere where the truck is angled slightly down. Pour some water (not too much) into the passenger side channel closer to where the two pano panels join and let the water travel along the tray to the front passenger drain. Does that cause a leak? If so, you might have a cracked moonroof tray or one of the bolts securing it wasn’t properly sealed.

Also, when you pour the water directly into the drain, where is it exiting? You should see it exiting into the passenger wheel well. If it’s not, then the drain tube might have become disconnected and the water is draining down the A-pillar.

No way to know in advance of looking. I’ve not had a lot of success with just a visual inspection.
