Sorry if this is old news ...

Had mine on a newish charger. Seemed to be taking longer to get to full charge, than the last (first) time.

Had a hunch and waited until it was at full charge and while watching the solid green light, opened Ford Pass and checked Software Updates. The truck clicked and the charge light Started flashing again.

So, if you're unnecessarily checking Ford Pass, you're also unnecessarily draining your battery and if on a charger, extending charge time.

When charging your battery make sure the negative cable is connected before the battery monitor system. Which is located before the negative cable hook up, its a small screw on a black box.

This behavior would be expected since triggering different functions within the app will cause any number of mdules to be powered on. The total current draw would be dependent on what you're trying to do within the app and how many modules are needed for it to complete the user/app request. So definitely keeping app usage to a minimum will prevent unneccesary voltage drains on the 12v system.

Correct. Just opening the app, had no noticeable effect. What else might be benign, I've no idea but for sure, checking for updates used enough on board power, to re-trigger the charge cycle.

5 trips to the dealership to get that one fixed . The bms shorted out and killed the battery as well. Both replaced at no charge!!!

IME even the very slightest hit on the battery will trigger that behavior with a NOCO charger - the NOCO seems hypersensitive in that respect.

I have one of those Bluetooth battery monitors connected across my battery & yep, checking for updates in the Ford app drops the voltage.

Well i guess it's a good thing they've basically made it not worth using.
Well, I guess it's a good thing people are all entitled to their opinion.

I've used it on multiple vehicles (mostly F-Series) for the past 10+ years without issue.

Much harder to have issues when you remove half of the features. Glad you like it.
