150,000 miles. Rebuilt the tranny at 98K. Dropped in new battery about at 85,000. Other than just the regular TSBs we've all dealt with.

I'd definitely buy another when the time comes.

I have a 25 King Ranch PB 157 WB, 5,200 km on it. Not a glitch. It's my fourth Powerboost.

My 23 Lariat was another story, it left me walking twice. 2 complete transmissions 2 transfer cases, Sync problems galore, a week old the paint was so bad 3/4 of the truck was repainted under warranty, you literally could see the primer underneath, 3 starter generators, just before I got rid of it the transmission electric pump failed, needing a pile of parts, and not a single transmission code in the PCM yet the truck bricked. Passenger seat was mostly replaced from a broken weld. This is just going off memory. Ford did trade assistance to get me out of that Lemon and I Ordered this 25 King Ranch, that took 6 months to get.

I "had" a 21 PW and after 80K miles started having a lot of problems with the transmission. Some internal part related to the hybrid piece, was serviced (dropped and rebuilt) 3 times under warranty (each time about 7 days), then the fourth time the dealer and Ford gave up and replaced the transmission completely. I gave up on the PB at that point and traded it for a '23 EB - on my '25 EB now and not looking back. I didn't really need what the PB offered, so the EB only works best in my situation.

I live in SoCal and am amazed how many of my neighbors buy the new Tuntra, Tacoma and Land Cruisers - I in a one block square I can easily count 10 of them - '23 to '25 model years - each one over $70K msrp ... I am unaware of their service issues, but read a lot about them. Everyone else has F150s and an F250 ... no new Chevy's ...

I got a trade assistance to get out of my '21 - in '23 - that one had issues for sure. I think '21 to '23 were very poor quality years for Ford and the F150. My 2 month old '25 Lariat is perfect! The CEO made good on making quality a priority in my view. ('21 was a PB, the others EB only)

My 21 and 22 where King Ranch. Geez man, less is more at Ford, The very first things I noticed was no more perforated head rests, I liked the head rest speakers, and King Ranch always had a chrome strip along the front of the power running board (I hate power boards), no kick switch on the power boards anymore and the interior door handles don't have front chrome tips on them anymore, yet the sticker is just over $106,000.00.
They did change the rims though, the other trucks had that dam cheap chromed PVD plastic crap over a steel wheel that would always get pitted up and looked like he'll, now i got foll aluminum rim that is actually chrome, I flick it with my finger and no hollow sound.

I see our Power Boost has again been rated as unreliable. I’ve had mine for 14 months and 14000 miles without a single issue. Two friends have Toyota hybrid pickups. Both have had at least 5 recalls. So I was wondering how many problems or recalls have the members here have had.
Had my 2024 XLT PB for almost a year now-11,800 miles. Oil life software issue only. Had a 2009 F-150 Lariat, 2014 Vf150 Lariat and 2017 F-250 Lariat.
Drove it from SC to Montana last fall with zero issues.

Call me crazy but I like my PB the best!

Actually the only reason I get Powerboost is I have a bad habit of buying random pieces of real-estate and either fixing them up or building something, I really like working with my hands. I must have the 7.2 Pro Power onboard option, I have wired, did the plumbing and HVAC had it all inspected, and completed a house, cabin or whatever I built. I powered everything, the well, septic pump, that be what ever off the truck. I have been in a bind where the power company can't activate the service for what ever stupid reason yet I'm not screwed over, I would not have a Powerboost without the 7.2. Pro Power Onboard.

2024 F150 Lariat PB 7.2k
... Hybrids on the other hand have been around for decades now and have had time to work out the kinks. The tech in them is solid and earned a very good reputation for long term reliability. So much so that many consider them to be more reliable than straight ICE or EV's.
With a Hybrid, one has to purchase two propulsion systems instead of just one as with a straight ICE or EV. And Hybrids can be expensive to repair (aren't all repairs expensive now a days). My brother had to pay $8K for a new replacement battery for his hybrid then a year later $5K for an alternator.

I had no intension of getting a hybrid when I ordered by 2024 F150 a year ago March. My reason - hybrids are typically more expensive to purchase and repair long-term (you've got two propulsion systems). I keep a vehicle for 10 to 15 years. Then my son bought a 2023 F150 PB and shared his positive experience. It made me relook at my build. Ford gives a credit so the PB/hybrid didn't cost more to purchase (it was actually less if I didn't get the 7.2kw generator) and Ford's extended warranty didn't cost anymore because it was a PB. I decided to change my 2024 order to a PB and the next day it was selected to build. I've got 17,000 miles on it now and am glad I got the PowerBoost. But I did purchase the 150K mile warranty. More as an insurance policy for what repair cost might be in the next 10 years.

As of yet, no one has explained why CR would have a grudge against the PB, or presented any data to refute their conclusion. Here's some data (if I counted right): 19 replies, 6 with problems. Of those without problems, only 4 have 50K or more. So 30% with issues, and 60% with over 50K.

I like the idea, but as someone who refuses to be a slave to vehicle payments and generally puts 150-200K on a rig, numbers like that simply aren't acceptable.

After reading all the no problems I think refusing the extended warranty on my ‘25 powerboost was a good decision. It’s the only vehicle I have ever even considered an extended warranty. Starting the powerboost journey 6/19/25. Wish me luck!

Well, I don’t have too much proof in the pudding yet… 2025 PB with 5,200 miles, bought it April of this year. No issues yet. Taking it in for the first oil change this Friday. My Dad has a ‘23 PB Limited, about 50k miles on it and no issues whatsoever. I just traded my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5.3 liter… what a nightmare that truck was. Engine blew up with only 25,000 miles. Lifter collapsed and bent a rod. The transmission left me stranded on the road at 82,000 miles. I had enough and decided to trade for an F150. Love the truck so far, just hope it proves reliable.

I have a 2021 Platinum with 82,000 miles, equipped with all options except full reclining seats and maximum tow capacity. Other than some TBS/recalls, it has been relatively trouble-free.

A few small things, like headrest speakers, and I replaced the batteries to ensure I don't have any problems, and a set of tires.

I love my PowerBoost truck.
