These buying now are fortunate. total no brainer @ $100, especially if wanting the hard button for heated wheel.
So if doing the heated wheel swap to an XLT, is there a way to turn it off / on without a hard button?
Wondering since the ventilated buttons would be useless on an XLT.

Yes, unreal engine with climate bar layout, you can add the HSW to that

Want to understand 'Load AB'. Did you have to change anything? Or you just had to re-write same settings with the new unit plugged in? Got mine just haven't installed it yet, thanks!
In Forscan I believe it says Load AB which is just a way to say load as built. Then just hit write all for the module. Mine required no changes in any values as I did not add anything other than the new module with temperature readout. Ironically they worked even before I rewrote the module when nothing else did. Let me know if you need anything else on my end.

Back up your current AB (as builts) and then load and write them into the new one after installation. It’s literally that simple
You don’t need to save that anymore in Forscan as they have a load as built button now. If I can find that video on YouTube I will post it later. You do however need the internet connection for it to work.

How will it know which as built configuration to write?

Forscan is accessing the motorcraft site to pull the as built data per the trucks vin.

But it's just easier to connect forscan up before you swap the module, back up the modules as built data to a file. Then after the swap you load the as built data from the file and write all.

Well I was like you, but for $107, I figured what the hell. Installed the module on Sunday, changed the settings of sync to remove the temps at the top of the screen. I like it, sync screen is cleaner with just the external temp on the top status bar now. It's not life changing, but I like it.

I missed that, what’re the as built changes to remove the temp from the top of the touch screen?

Stahp!!! You’re not helping my wallet here. In all seriousness, I bought a tremor because of the little things. And this falls into the grey area.
