@rugedraw As always, thank U ! I wonder if it is a possibility that an update did not fully Take? I say this because I work in technology and have come across this happening several times before when using OTA....my technology is A/V I.T. Networking Software/Hardware, not a vehicle but I guess I need to start figuring this out, lol. So funny, miss the damn stick shift, speedometer, and battery level and just use my flashlight when I need a light.

I would assume things would be similar. The module network on these vehicle communicate mostly via CAN, but certain modules (APIM, GWM, TCU and IPC) also talk to each other using ethernet. If my hunch that your GWM software version is old and incorrect for your truck is right, that would explain why you are having issues with your TCU (and possibly other issues you haven't discovered yet). I have reached out to Jesse as this goes beyond the scope of things I can fix myself, so I will get back to you when I have more info and whether we can help you fix it or not.

Whats the GWM asbuilt look like? If you can save the current GWM abt file and link it i can take a look at it. @DrivinTheTruck
Not sure if he has FORScan, but I pulled this from PTS. Vehicle history shows an FDRS network scan in December, so I am assuming the data is correct.

Unfortunately, no FORScan at this time but the way things have been going, I can see myself investing to have..... thank u antho :)

I dont see anything jumping out in the GWM or TCU abt. Have you checked the connections on the TCU? may be a loose connector?

@DrivinTheTruck Do you know where the TCU is to check?
I do not... but I follow directions very well....I will need to research to find out location (I believe behind the rear seat) but I will check for a loose connection and report back. :)

Here you go. It is behind the rear seat on the passenger side.

So I looked (see below) and did not see anything suspicious, I did find this plastic piece, but I believe this is to cover hole in carpet??? except, they forgot to replace the broken piece and left this in the truck. I can unplug and reseat the connectors if you think I should but, I wiggled them and they all seemed secure.
On a side note, I just purchased FORScan for a year and Amazon.com: OBDLink EX FORScan OBD Adapter : Automotive I do realize if you are not careful, one could seriously break stuff so I will use with complete caution n care. Learned this through many years of computers :)
