I have a 157 wb super crew. In all my travels I rarely see a 157 wb truck. Ford probably sells 1 long bed for every 10,000 short bed. I'm guessing here, but it would be nice if we could see actual sales figures. Do you think Ford will discontinue this configuration because of low sales? I know people buy the short bed because of greater maneuverability/garage space, but honestly I prefer the long bed because of greater versatility. Thanks.

this is probably just a simplified conspiracy theory, but I have never seen a 157WB on a lot either. I think Ford has a long-term strategy to do away with dealers and have people only order trucks online. As long as enough people order the longer wheelbase, it’s to their advantage to continue making it to encourage more custom orders. Keep in mind, I live in small town rural New Mexico so this is a very sheltered opinion.

Loving mine. Only 6" shorter than the 250, but can work around that for extra bed space and more stability in towing. Can't imagine them ever discontinuing, but would love to see the numbers as the OP mentions.

My last truck was this. Definitely more useful than the shortbed. I changed since this configuration looks very odd when lowered as a street truck.

I enjoy mine. Never would have considered one without the 360 cameras but with that it's basically a zero compromise configuration for me. Just took a family trip that would have filled the bed to the brim and then taken half the cab in my 09 Tundra crew. The extra foot here freed up more cab legroom and I still had room in the bed to spare with the cover down. Then I can put down the bed extender and easily move 8 Foot items with just a couple extra tie downs I don't really need for redundancy.

sounds very goofy of me but I'll confess I was so in love with the thing when I found it I don't even think i realized I was getting a longbed truck til we were writing it up.

Even here in the Northeast, I just did a quick search of long beds and there are 44 XLT’s and 60 Lariat ‘s in a 500 mile radius .

I have always liked these since Ford came out with the 6.5 foot bed super crew back in 2006. I have always wanted one and I kept waiting to finally purchase a new truck for quite a few years. By the time I was ready, ford had deleted the 6.5 foot bed supercrew option from every single two-wheel drive for 2024, and it's not available on the STX anymore, so it made it even less available than before.

Very jealous when I see two-wheel drive pre 2024 SuperCrew 6.5 ft beds. That's what I had wanted. But admittedly, my 5.5 ft bed two-wheel drive supercrew has been just fine. For almost 20 years I wanted one and when the time came where I was ready for the new truck you couldn't even get it haha.

I haul my ATV in the bed and tow my travel trailer so the 157 is a must have.

Both of my trucks (2014 & 2022) have 6.5' beds. Better looking and longer bed is more useful to me.

I have it on my 2024 KR and also had it on my 2012 Platinum. It was one of my 3 or 4 things that I had to have when I ordered my truck last year. Probably another reason it took 6 months to get it. About 3 months into the wait for my truck to be built, I became truly mad that it was taking so long that I started searching for F-150's online at other dealerships within a 500-mile radius. It seemed like anything close to what I wanted only had 5.5 ft. beds and I almost console myself to get the shorter bed if I decided to buy something off the lot of another dealer. Glad I didn't!

Did a very quick & dirty check on Autotrader - Nationwide from my zip code, both 2024 and 2025 new 157" WB models of any trim level/both 2wd and 4WD - showed 1524 (gassers 781, Powerboost 743).

Had a 2016 157" WB, great highway cruiser, parking it in cities a different story.

I don't think 157" wheelbase is rare at all. But admittedly they are almost always SuperCrew cabs.

I won't likely ever buy an F150 with a shorter wheelbase, as long as it's available.

Made mistake on my 2013 short bed
