Ford 5.0= DOHCThe engine weight is very odd to me, right ? Physically the 5.0 looks alot bigger .
GM 6.2=Pushrod
Even the 7.3 Godzilla looks smaller than a 5.0L as the 7.3L is a pushrod design.

Displacement on the 6.2 will mean it has to be a larger block, it may be more compact since it is a cast iron block. The engine weight is very odd to me, right ? Physically the 5.0 looks alot bigger .
The current 6.2 has an aluminum block and weighs around 400 lbs. The 700 lb figure is for the old 6.2 diesel.Displacement on the 6.2 will mean it has to be a larger block, it may be more compact since it is a cast iron block.
