Looking for opinions on a 2024 F150 Lariat 3.5L Powerboost with 20” rims front strut and rear shock upgrades.

the ride quality on the lariat is pretty bad. It jumps around on bumps constantly.

Im looking for super smooth on road driving wether that be flat or bumpy roads and at the same time limited off roading when driving off pavement.

I live in New England. Maybe someone can relate to how the roads are here and may recommend upgrade options.

I have a 24 Lariat 5.0. I went with the Fox 2.5 Performance Elite shocks. I can’t say enough good about them. The DSC adjustment works much better than I thought it would. Basically on pavement I can go from a Cadillac soft ride to a sports car stiff and planted ride.

These will force about 1.5” of front end level/lift. So if you don’t want that, you may look elsewhere.

I'm loving my Eibach Stage 2R kit. Very supple and comfortable on road. Soaks up the little bumps very well.

And the front and rear set are over $4200! Holy shit; they better ride well for that price!

I was actually asking basically the same within the last week or two! Also want to maintain super smooth on road (so no firmer than stock) but with the better rebound control, at least on the back end.

What I can gather is that the Bilstein 4600 and 5100 are the kinda go-to options. I think I saw Eibach may also have something that provides similar control but might be a little softer than the Bilstein. I was also looking at KYB, but no idea which model or if they are better than Bilstein or Eibach.

I didn't look at Fox. Assumed those were "high performance", which I don't think I need.

Theres a few great options out there for your truck! The Eibach Stage 2R kits are our top selling kits by far and for good reason. Its one of the best bangs for your buck between ride comfort and all around performance. Another great option is the Bilstein 6112/5160 set up as well. These both are great options for the PB models, but we feel the Eibach will probably be your go to as our PB customers love the Eibach kits on these trucks!

Feel free to hit us up when you're ready for a kit and we can answer any questions you have and get you the proper set up!

I'm happy with the Ford Performance/ Bilstein 6112/5160 kit on my PB. Slightly firmer than stock but the overall ride is much better imo.

Any concerns with the eibach or bilstein in harsh salt environments? I’ve heard the zinc coating does not hold up well

Good point. I know some are zinc coated which is useless in salt envs but are there any strut and shocks that ride similar to Eibach and are not zinc coated that hold up to salt?

I really like the fox 2.0 kit. Rides really nice on pretty much all surfaces.

But only so much can be done riding on 20” wheels.

I have 18” for better rim protection and better road manners.

Just get a set of Bilstein 5100's. Run ya about 300-350 for all 4 and make all the difference in ride quality. Firm when they need to be but offer a nice smooth ride as well. One of the first things I did when I got both my Fords was toss the stock dampers in the trash for Bilsteins.

the foxes are aluminum. But require regular “service” intervals. Then the ford performance is painted steel I believe. Pick your poison I guess

Purchased the ES 2R kit from Colton. Awesome customer service, easy install, and rides fantastic.
