this has happened to me twice , anyone else
get in truck hit the start button, truck goes thur a couple screens , then won’t start , ( no Ready ) light , and Stop safely now ….
try for a couple minutes ,get out of truck , get back in then out of the blue , starts normal ??
I googled all about , said loose fuses? Bad battery ? My truck is a 2023 with less the 5000 miles on it ?
for giggles I opened the fuse box under the hood and started pushing down on the fuses and damn it , almost every fuse would go down in the box?
is this a normal thing ?
haven’t happened again , just wondering if anyone else had this issue ?
Good morning! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this message concern for you? Thank you!

I recall reading posts on the exact same problem with fuses being loose.

Loose fuses or bad battery can usually cause this problem they can affect the electrical system and cause starting problem. I would recommend to check your truck fuse box make sure that the fuses are securely in place as it is important for proper electrical contact.
Agree that this might be a bad battery; to be clear: 12V's, probably not hybrid system battery. I had the same "Stop Safely Now" message with no start yesterday morning. Truck then started without issue a few hours later; of course no codes. Then last night received "Remote features disabled to preserve battery" message on the app. This tells me that the 12V battery 'system' has some sort of issue.

It's a shame that we drive, essentially a technological wonder, and the 12V system that has been been around for nearly 75yrs is the potential problem.

I make no excuses for the baffling 12V charging strategy that Ford put into our Powerboost trucks. (I have monitored it extensively, along with others on this forum, and it is hard to understand why it is so conservative)

But it's also not too uncommon to find other makes and models of Hybrid vehicles that apparently can be hard on 12V batteries. And they too will experience crazy behaviors with a battery that approaches marginal SOC. I wish I better understood these complex machines only to maybe make some sense of why a vehicle with such amazing charging capabilities of a HV battery are Ironically not so robust at doing the same for their low voltage batteries.

I have been subsidizing mine with a trickle charger every few weeks if/when I see it drop to the 12.3V range. It's usually when I haven't driven it much, and/or I short tripped it a few times consecutively.

You have inspired me to add a trickle charger pigtail to mine... mostly because being stuck in a parking spot with a vehicle that can't even shift into neutral really sucks.

Still have some gripe though that we are needing to put battery tenders on a new vehicle that costs so damn much...

I think the lack of consistent battery build quality is an issue that poor charging circuit design and implementation has exposed. All of our PB's 12V charging systems perform similarly yet some of our batteries can survive without issue and some can't. Hammaman, Snake, and others have been working on charging system workarounds with little success other than supplemental charging.

I think, if you experience these 12V problems, buy a new main AGM battery first. I don't care that it checks good. BS. Get a new one. Most of us have never experienced any problems at all and we have the exact same 12V SOC that you do.

Why don't you publicly discuss the status of this issue and any known engineering issues, OEM part issues, or other causes that your team is aware of? It is clearly a very common problem.

I've read that the "stop safely now" issue happened to Lightning owner as well. Ford ought to come out and address this issue publicly, and at lease issue some Fordpass reward points to owners who experience this issue. Just wistfully thinking ...

Quick question, can Ford , or any automaker, in this day and age remotely diagnosed an issue ?? They can send certain updates over WiFi, or cloud base whatever storage is now a days ,

Happened to me about 3 times. I found that I couldn't start it with the botton or fob, but I could start it remotely from my phone. When I took it is to the shop, they re-calibrated the voltage sensing firmware. We will see if that does the trick.

I got the “stop safely now”/no start issue and called the dealer because I was just a few days into ownership. They remotely diagnosed codes related to the BCEM - P1A43 and U0293. Truck eventually started so I didn’t take the tow in. The next day, the AC stopped blowing out the vents 20 minutes into a road trip… Turned around and took it straight to the dealer. They observed the AC issue, but it didn’t throw any codes for it. They determined that all the air diverters in the ductwork closed and wouldn’t respond to the computer module that controls the AC. After restarting, no issues have been replicated… but the truck’s been in the shop for 2 weeks, owned it for 3.

I'd read about this problem and when my truck was just days old, I pulled the covers from both fuse panels and checked. All were fully seated.

So, we have a chance to learn if this is a time in service issue.

Will they get loose, or are some not seated properly at the factory?
Most of my fuses were not properly seated. Didn't have any issues so log this under preventative maintenance.
