Jesse,

My 21 PB is on version 2.43

Should I turn off OTA updates until FFFFFFord figures this out?
The BCM update fortunately isnt an OTA. I think they finally fixed it late yesterday.

I suggest everyone turn the auto update off. Leave it to manual approval they have been sending out downgrades to guys that are fully updated.

Do you think Ford even knows how to guide them to fix it? I like how they put all this tech and software into the truck, and can't even roll out simple updates without bricking modules. I can't wait to see what problems come with the lightning.
Your truck is moving along as of today. They finally got the BCM fix out and they installed it

I would love to hear the real-backstory for the BCM update all the way to today.
It'd be incredibly interesting to follow along within the walls of Ford, the process from the files being compiled (packaged), then uploaded to FDRS database, to the discovering of the snafu, to the discussion and influences required to finally adjusting the package to what it is now.

What I'm most curious about is if this thread (or the infamous FDRS thread) is officially recognized in any way within those walls?

At one time I naively assumed it was. I say naively because this BCM "episode" implies that nobody, influencial at least, is aware, or it would have gotten yanked quickly. Along with the retro-OTA's that are still a threat to trucks to this day.

There’s gotta be at least a couple folks from Ford watching our trials and tribulations and adjusting off of it. Too many folks out there that like to tinker and who better to get real feedback from anonymously than us?

I don't argue that the thread(s) are undiscovered, because there are just too many people for that to be true. But whoever IS watching is obviously far removed from the decision makers. No other conclusion can I arrive at considering how slow the responses are, timing wise.

There's likely some egos that have to be overcome? Or at least that would fit the stereotype of corporate.

Still no answer on my end..... so I visited my dealer in the morning today and instead of update they tried to get me out of my loaner car and give me my truck back stating that the vehicle is good and it is drivable. I said no problem sign a piece of paper that they assume full responsibility if anything goes wrong with the truck as I am driving it, that no modules will fault causing an accident etc. After short conversation with her manager I was told to keep the loaner..... and still no update. Twitter team responded quickly yesterday only to go silent today..... am I ever lucky

So I'm driving the truck back and notice that it's not going into electric hybrid mode during the drive but when I first turn it on its all battery.

I'm sitting in my driveway now and the engine won't shut off to go electric usually never stays on very long.

They did a BMS reset so it may take some time to get it all back to normal. I believe there is a standard time after the BMS rest before it goes full electric

The non PB trucks after clearing codes or BMS reset the AUto start stop wont work until the parameters have been met.

From the blind app that employees can anonymously talk openly. This snippet should give us all some insight in why things are the way they are.
