This showed up in my FordPass app today. I know others had issues with it not being available, but I was one of the few that still had it, and it appeared to (mostly) work fine.

I dunno. It was mostly worthless IMO. I never got any alerts, so what's the point? Most I ever got was, IF I logged into the app, then I'd see notifications ... from yesterday, or last week. Super helpful. ?

App needs real-time notifications and, ideally, smartwatch connectivity.

Any time I used my goddamned key to get in my truck; the stupid suckurialert would say that there was an unauthorized access.

Not ready for prime time, just like a lot of the shit Ford foists onto us.

I spent some effort installing the app and configuring to get it working. I think.. it is positive step in keeping up with the status of your doors.. just in case they are opening and closing in your absence. Thumbs up.

SecureAlert is garbage. It occasionally worked for me only when my truck was in my driveway and connected to Wi-Fi. Then, if it did inform me, it would be hours later after my door was opened. I turned it off.

I’ll miss SecuriAlert. To be fair, I don’t think I ever used it for security reasons, but I loved using it for dropping my truck at the dealer and when my truck was down for 5 months after an accident - I could see any time they interacted with it.

Sounds like I’m the only one it worked for, but I would get instant notifications on my phone/Apple Watch as long as it wasn’t in a parking structure or underground. When id forget to turn it off once I had possession of my truck, it was maybe 1 second between opening a door and getting the alert.

More and more I get the feeling my truck is the poster child for Job 2 2021s lol. One part issue and no software glitches, (had) working SecuriAlert, get OTAs consistently without patting my head and rubbing my stomach…or filling up with gas!

No @Oxford_Powerboost , you aren't the only one that'll miss it.

And your description for how well it worked aptly describes my experience too. I'm sure it's something to do with living/working in an region of healthy AT&T cellular service?

What's with all the nanner nanner posts I keep seeing? Especially about this. Surely the energy could be expended on something more useful or interesting? Hell I feel the same way about this post right now! LOL

It actually worked fine for me also! I had set up notifications for only between 11 pm and 6 am and I got the alerts every time..

Not sure why Ford is removing the feature..

Thread was started because Ford lied about why it was being removed. The removal notice said it was being removed because it was a temporary test platform and the testing was over.

Nowhere before was the SecuriAlert ever referred to as a temporary test program that would be removed when testing was over.

I wasn’t commenting on why the thread was started though. More of the “I told you so” stuff. Just reminds me of high school or something lol.
