Power-up 4.3.6

Ford version numbers are stupid. Plain and simple. There are no 5.x.x updates at this time, but they could easily roll those out later as they have already gone out of numerical order on some updates.

Go have a look at the OTA thread with the F-150 spreadsheet. The known model years are listed there and 6.x.x is rolling out to some trucks seemingly at random as Ford OTA process always is. Eventually we should all reach the 6.x.x numbers as Ford seems to be trying to unify versions across model years.

Thanks for this! It’s just been blowing up on FB groups and all saying one is the other, just wanted the insight because I was slightly confused by getting 4.3.6 earlier this morning then 6.1.0 alert came in right after on my way home. Bizarre!

Only an APIM update has a chance to change your sync version. GWM updates will not give you a different sync.

Your FDRS gateway GWM update would have been the equivalent of 6.1.0 as I received via. OTA today. You can download your as built to check this, your GWM software version should be ML3T-14H021-PAE

I checked the Ford.com website this morning. The Sync version is nolonger reported there. Not sure if it's temporary or not. Time will tell.

It’s been missing for me on Ford.com since I installed 23167 three weeks ago. The glitch is also affecting PTS.

Got 4.3.6 last night. Based on all the reports, it seems like they are being a little more aggressive with this one than any of the updates in the past.

You need access to PTS for that. PTS is a website for Ford dealer employees.

Second day in a row post 4.3.6 radio acting up.
First day audio cutting out like it was muted and turned back on did that couple times after I started it then was fine.
Second day half my presets just changed as the screen was doing the blinky thing it does when trying to start an update download.

WTF Ford.

Yep indicators are correct. Just downloaded 6.1.0 without bothering to ask me. The radio glitches are a tell as well as the cell service disconnecting briefly when download completes.

Nice to finally get some love for the 21 trucks. I don't even have BC but I like it when OTA works.

Yes, 4.3.6 installed without in vehicle notification, the trucks screen should have shown the download icon in the upper right corner and should have popped a notification on restart, neither happened with 4.3.6. The only notification was sent in Fordpass. Clearly Ford has changed or missed something in programming the update.

Stealth update.
Probably was marked as priority so installs without ever asking. At least that is what I was told happens with priority updates.

mine just did 4.3.6 this morning. apim update showed up recently and i had planned on doing via fdrs, but noticed the pending update icon show up in the upper-right this morning, so i went ahead and approved it. it download and installed. i have auto updates turned off.
