@fordtruckman2003 My truck received the 6.1.0 OTA today. Rugedraw saw it was in que this morning when he was looking at the download of 4.3.6 from yesterday. Amazing an update to days in a row! Anyway, I made notes of the timeline during the install.

9:41 The OTA trigger was sent to truck, confirmed in PTS by rugedraw
12:50 I started the truck and the download began.
1:08 the download completed.
1:09 PTS also showed completed.
1:10 the trucks screen showed "update successful"
1:10 I restarted the truck.
1:11 truck screen displayed "completed" tap for update details.

Now complete I left the truck.
1:21 Fordpass displayed a "vehicle alert" telling me an update had been installed.
1:22 I downloaded my "As Built" from the Motorcraft site. and this confirmed the new software.
GWM New s/w ML3T-14H021-PAE My old version was ML3T-14H021-LKC

1:32 I received notification in Fordpass message center "You're rolling with the latest Ford Power-Up"

Rugedraw sent me the PTS details. Update finished install when I walked into my house. My guess is that the next idle status update to Ford was nearly two hours later. I know it reports on regular basis but don't know the frequency.

You get the owners manual update? ?
I thought I would get that first but maybe later or not at all. OTA is a strange thing.

No, I never got the,the owners manual update either. I thought I would have gotten it as well. I do know that it was updated at least once since new in 21. As the original manual only talked about trailer towing with the yaw sensor. My current manual shows yaw sensor or Stickers under trailer towing. There's no visible version number that I can find on the trucks screens. I do know that the owners manual equates to 1 apim file. maybe the update isn't necessary for the trucks that are already post version number XX. So it would only be sent to truck pre version XX. ?

I thought owner's manual update would reference the update to propower needing to be disconnected before driving off. Search on screen doesn't show that. So perhaps it is just a single file as you say that can be installed at any time no matter the overall sync version.

Ya, you know you're right about that. I remember reading something from either rugedraw or Jesse regarding the single file that was ota'ed to update the manual. I'm going to search around and see if I can find what that post said. I think Ford is able to now to replace any single file in the apim without having to update all as in early versions of SYNC. Example 4.3.6 was only one file change and it yielded us a new version.

On another note, SYNC boots up very quickly now with the 23167 / 4.3.6 update, and I'm very pleased with it! ?

This is helpful. There seems to be a problem with 23167 not reporting properly, at least for some of us.

I have accounts with Ford Canada and Ford US... Both have a blank where the Sync version was shown.

I checked the Ford.com website this morning. The Sync version is nolonger reported there. Not sure if it's temporary or not. Time will tell.

@rugedraw - I am wondering what version did I update my truck too? I know the Sync is 23167, but I am wondering about the GWM update I did. Can you look on PTS and let me know?

Only an APIM update has a chance to change your sync version. GWM updates will not give you a different sync.

Can someone tell me if the latest version for OTA is 4.3.6 or 6.1.0? Seems weird Ford to skip versions 5, but would love to hear from anyone here which one would be the latest/current?

Ford version numbers are stupid. Plain and simple. There are no 5.x.x updates at this time, but they could easily roll those out later as they have already gone out of numerical order on some updates.

Go have a look at the OTA thread with the F-150 spreadsheet. The known model years are listed there and 6.x.x is rolling out to some trucks seemingly at random as Ford OTA process always is. Eventually we should all reach the 6.x.x numbers as Ford seems to be trying to unify versions across model years.
