Also should mention to use the SAE PID if you plan to subtract barometric pressure from your oil pressure reading. Using fixed value won't be as accurate.

Ok sounds good. Thank you for the feedback and again for the oil pressure calculations. It was the one we all wanted and didn’t have.

Hmm, something else I didn't know I needed.

I've been playing with Torque Pro for years with several different vehicles. Now I think I need an OBDLink.

Me too. Just got my MX+ configured with gauges I wanted on my phone. Wealth of info on this post, thanks everyone.

Question, anyway we can add OBDlink to carplay ??
I don't see it as an available app. The apple ios restricts carplay accessible apps.

lol I said that like I know what I'm talking about. Please don't take my advice on this stuff.

AA does the same thing.
There is a hack to get a torque plugin to work for AA but it doesn't work in every vehicle.

I think best solution so far is going Snakebitten with spare phone. I happen to have one since work give them away when we got new ones.

Now I need to get a OBD2 splitter for JB4 and MX+. I got better MPG when not running JB4 stage 3. :giggle:

JB4 does NOT support sharing the OBD port with your OBDlink adapter.

I was very disappointed that I had to decide between running my brand new JB4 or monitoring the PIDs.
It would have been OK if the PID library that the JB4 includes was better. I really liked the JB4.

But I made my choice. Gave a member a hefty discount on the tuner.

Thanks Snakebitten.
I wasn't happy about telling you that.
You CAN install the splitter and see for yourself. I did, and noticed immediately the OBD PID monitoring app (OBDlink) was very lethargic. Really poor refresh rate.

So I reached out to the JB4 folks and they gave me the bad news. :(

The good news is that with the Powerboost, I'm not going to pout too much about the amount of power on tap.

Snakenbitten, OBDLink MX+ and JB4 does work using splitter. You'll need to remove JB4 from OBD port from splitter. Pair up MX+ first, when successful then plug in JB4. I just did it in accessory mode, no test drive yet.

I probably didn't explain what I meant clearly. Yes, I was able to connect the OBDlink MX+ & JB4 simultaneously.
But when I first went for a drive, my PIDs were refreshing extremely slow compared to before. My concern for that potentially affecting the read rate on the JB4 caused me to reach out to them on the JB4 forum. I got a response from the JB4 representative that they do not support their product sharing the OBD interface with any other device.

I might have been overly prudent, but I interpreted that to at least mean that they weren't signing off that the JB4 could influence engine management at the speed intended. I don't know how lag might affect things.
