Yes, it just depends. I just listed all the available Torque fields. Most of the time several are left blank.

Which PIDs? Nothing in particular at the moment. I'm just seeking how to find the details of a PID in OBDLink so I can recreate it in Torque. I can examine the details of predefined PIDs in Torque. I don't know how to do so in OBDLink. Maybe it can't be done?
OBDLink does seem to hide some stuff, but it also appears to have duplicated most of what I would need it to do. I just plan on using it now. It doesn't have plugin support but the basics are the same.

Lots of publicly available PID online so whatever you are looking for is likely already online. Hard to say without some examples of what you are trying to add.

I've already got quite a bit. Some of these are from online sources. I don't like multi paged dashboards. I'd have to delete something to add something. I'd like to have the odometer. It really isn't necessary, nor is there a gauge that can properly display the info. I'm happy with my dashboard, but I'm always open to any new PIDs

Didn't know you can change the gauge look that way.

Odometer is a standard PID but not sure our trucks support that.

I have tires on dash with this generation, and they don't match the PID reported values. Both rear tires are opposite on dash of what PID is reporting.

In OBDLink, you create a gauge and then edit in in the "style" tool.

Caution. It IS a rabbit hole, as someone mentioned. :)

That isn't OBDLink. ?

OBDLink has an odometer PID. I tested it and it matched my truck. Torque has an odometer PID too, but its result is wacky as heck. This particular PID is what prompted my question. If I could decipher the OBDLink PID I could recreate it in Torque.

Well, the formula for that on Wikipedia is below.

Is that SAE? Or Ford specific?

Just curious

That is SAE which should be what is used by torque and OBDLink.
Not sure either one works I'm in my recliner. :)

I'm using the Ford pid in OBDLink. But haven't compared to SAE to see if they both get the same result.

Well, the SAE isn't required to be supported outside of California, but should be available in most vehicles now since it was added many years ago.
The things that manufacturers choose to lockdown are strange.

I ended up going with trending. Fewer gauges but a lot more samples.. i set them for 500. i have ecoboost so veered into measures that put some related operating parameters. it looks imperfect still.. next step is to go scale down so i can fit three trends across... my iphone is way too tiny for a great layout.. guess i'll have to cope with it...

This is above my pay grade. Understand, Jethro and I were school mates and graduated together. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
