Was playing around a little bit with Forscan, and wanted to track knock/misfires, but I can't find any PID's for either of them. I have a 21 5.0. I've used Forscan for changing settings plenty of times, but I've never really messed with the PID logging. I have Forscan on my laptop with an OBDLink EX as well as Forscan lite with a vLinker FS. Same in both cases. All of the modules are there, and there are plenty of PID's, but it seems odd that I can't find anything for knock or misfire. I've done plenty of googling and haven't seen anyone comment on this anywhere, so I feel like I must be missing something obvious. I do have a MyCalibrator Plus from Livernois, and that can track knock and a few other things, but id like to be able to do it in Forscan.

Does this maybe have to do with the Livernois tune having different PIDs than the stock tune that Forscan doesn't see?

Ok, I bought the extended library for Ford/Lincoln/Mercury for OBD fusion; forscan might not have access to it; I'll see what I can find tomorrow when I hook up again.

Thanks for checking. I definitely don't have any of those on mine. I went through the PCM id's line-by-line on both Forscan and Forscan lite.

There are PID's that do the same thing that I can access from the livernois tuner itself and log with, but they have different names. Instead of Knock_1/2 they're called KnkSen1/2_Cnts and knock_corr_lrn is called Lrnd_Knk_Mod for example. This is what makes me think the tune must be the culprit.

I switched back to stock and the PID's are there now. I did have to clear the Forscan cache first though.
