I probably didn't explain what I meant clearly. Yes, I was able to connect the OBDlink MX+ & JB4 simultaneously.
But when I first went for a drive, my PIDs were refreshing extremely slow compared to before. My concern for that potentially affecting the read rate on the JB4 caused me to reach out to them on the JB4 forum. I got a response from the JB4 representative that they do not support their product sharing the OBD interface with any other device.

I might have been overly prudent, but I interpreted that to at least mean that they weren't signing off that the JB4 could influence engine management at the speed intended. I don't know how lag might affect things.
Got it, thanks. I'll go for test drives later this week to see any impact with PIDs. My main goals are PIDs and JB4 map 3 is a plus.

Good luck!
I'd be happy to hear that you got it all to play nicely.

Question to the experts here regarding the use of Torque Pro and custom PIDs needed for a Powerboost... Torque Pro has an option to import/export PIDs - is a complete set of the custom PIDs for a Powerboost available (in a .csv file or similar) for sharing?

I haven't updated the file to include the added PIDs from this thread, but a few are available here. We don't have all of them available from OBDLink, but enough to be useful.

The only "user defined" PIDs that I use are for OAR and EOP.

Octane Adjust Ratio
Engine Oil Pressure

All other PIDs were included in the OBDlink Enhanced Ford/Lincoln/Mercury library.

Exactly how HPTuners reports, when the Powerboost immediately lights ICE, it has the variable oil pressure pump set at stage #2 (high pressure)

After a few seconds at idle, it drops to stage #1 pressure

So nice to finally have that PID on a smartphone app. I still can't believe you just harvested that PID so casually. ??
Are these from obdlink? I was just about to buy torque pro

I own both apps.
OBDLink is more pretty and can read same codes as Forscan when you have the enhanced PIDs. Torque has more advanced system for custom PID, but with enhanced PIDs less need for it.

You buy the mx+ dongle for $139, and what else?

MX+ can be acquired for le$$ when they have sales. Black Friday era, for example.
The "+" is priced for a few bucks more because you are prepurchasing ONE enhanced PID library in advance. So when you download the OBDlink and register it, you get the first enhanced package for no additional charge. (the app itself is free)

For our trucks you are downloading the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury package. It's a nice expanded library of PIDs for the truck.

I was a Torque Pro user for a few years, but they slowed their development down and in my opinion let OBDlink pass them up as a standard bearer.
As for the ability to add "user defined PIDs", I'm sure Fordtruckman has his reasons for giving Torque Pro the nod. But I found nothing prohibitive about entering in my own custom PID information in OBDlink.

I also believe that unless you invest the time in OBDlink's graphical tools, it's not really nicer looking than Torque Pro. But no doubt OBDlink has built in gauge graphic tools that let you customize to your hearts content.

The OBDlink MX is a bit expensive. But it's also a really good piece of hardware. I have a drawer full of OBD adapters I've collected over the years and its noticeably more consistent and stable than the Chinese knockoffs.

Thanks for the detailed response. I was checking a price tracker and it didn't have much price history of the mx+. I'll watch for a sale.

Question was asked earlier regarding CarPlay... unless OBDLink is a knobbled version of OBD Fusion, it should be there in Settings>Preferences>CarPlay. Configure screens and bob's your mother's brother.

I actually like them listed like this instead of gauges (I'm weird that way) and the list is large enough on the 12" screen ?

EDIT: @fordtruckman2003, I found a previous better photo:
