  1. GenerLink transfer switch mounted on Power Box

Generlink (behind the meter transfer switches) do not switch the neutral. When used with a gas generator (as shown) you have to modify the generator to remove the bond between the neutral and ground. In our trucks, you cannot remove the neutral-ground bond - it is internal inside the generator...
  2. RCI Skid Plates Installed

Hi Cody - I just contated RCI and they said they do not have a plate which covers the space left if the active air dam is removed. Their site shows the following: The AAD is still there - it does not bolt directly under the front bumper - it seems to go "above" the AAD and covers some of the...
  3. Removed Active Air Dam From my F-150 - DIY Writeup

For those who removed their active air dam, do you have a way to cover the gap it creates? I have ordered RCI skid plates, but they are used with the active air dam so the gap is still there. All help appreciated .
  4. PowerBoost inspired hybrid house

I see now - each inverter controls 120V and one side of the split phase 240 - so they are not in parallel. Cool. You have not shown any neutral or ground connections to the mains or PB. I would look carefully into the inverter specs regarding bonding (ie neutral to ground connections). The...
  5. PowerBoost inspired hybrid house

Some complications here - you are essentially trying to add 2 grid-forming inverters in parallel. Each device (powerboost inverter and your battery energy storage) is used to be the only thing in the grid - they are setup so there is no power demand signal and the power in the inverter is...
  6. RCI Skid Plates Installed

I bought the RCI engine and transmission skid plate for my 2021 Powerboost - my question is about the active air dam... I am installing the skid plate for 4x4ing in deep snow - without a skid plate snow gets packed up into the engine area. Also the fragile dynamic air dam is very weak/vulnerable...
  7. 2021+ F150 Power-Up and Priority OTA History Thread

Rugedraw - do you know if this IPMA update is safe for 2021 Powerboost vehicles (referencing the previous problem you mentioned earlier this week)?
  8. Pedestrian Sounder Delete (No Codes, Easily Reversible)

Thanks - ie just a coincidence then that the messages occurred after an FDRS update. I will check for corrorsion/seating and post-back.
  9. Pedestrian Sounder Delete (No Codes, Easily Reversible)

I used the bypass resistor trick (first post) to eliminate the pedestrian sound/noise - all was working well until this week. I just did some FDRS updates, and now I get pedestrian sounder fault messages. Does anyone know if recent (< 1 year) updates broke the resistor trick? I know I can do...
  10. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

No dash lights and no DTCs - seems to drive fine. PSCM update no longer shows up in FDRS (as I did the first part of the chain, but not the 2nd IPMA part). Strange is that PSCM is now grey status (not green) in FDRS , but Forscan seems to find it fine. How can I do programming changes in...
  11. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Apparently PSCM updates are chained to IPMA updates, so you should not update PSCM until IPMA is safe to update. I did update PSCM but did not do the 2nd chained IPMA update - now the PSCM is grey (unresponsive) even when a network scan is done with the engine running. No DTC or CEL, and...
  12. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Thanks for the warning Rugedraw - my truck does not have adaptive cruise, 360 cameras, or bluecruise - are all the problems related to lane depature/bluecruise?
  13. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I am doing my second around of FDRS updates this weekend - I know I can no longer update BCM, but any other modules that should be avoided (or may cause grief)? Last update was about 1 year ago (and I have had very few OTAs since then)... Job 1 2021 Powerboost Lariat 501A
  14. Request VIN Lookup Thread

Just saw this - thank you so much for all of the work in the past Rugedraw - way above and beyond the call of duty!
  15. Request VIN Lookup Thread

One more VIN request please - 1FTFW1ED0MFB57671 Got past bricked OTA updates (via Mongoose and FDRS etc.) and thought I was out of the woods - got an audio update a long time ago that seemed to have bricked OTAs again (been patient - waited for more than 6 months). Thanks in advance!
  16. Priority update - Audio 23-PU1024-6CHAUD-Now low volume, poor audio quality, no bass response

Not rubbing it in, but I got this update via OTA a few weeks ago and audio sounds great - volumes are good/normal (volume at 15 would be really rocking it!). 2021 Job 1 Powerboost 501A - B&O, but not unleashed. Why are some okay and others affected?
  17. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

Yikes - 98 Pages! I have a 2021 Powerboost (that is getting regular OTA updates) but so far have not seen any issues. Any chance the original poster (or an admin?) familiar with this entire thread, could write a summary (and post it on page 1)? Ie new/changed parts, what to watch for...
  18. Needs new control arm and tie rod - 50k?

A bit more info here - took the truck to another dealer (to find and fix a cabin oil smell which is the original problem I am trying to resolve!) and they found the right control arm also had play in it. They also replaced it under warranty, but they did the alignment as part of the warranty...
  19. Needs new control arm and tie rod - 50k?

Front upper left control arm, inner and outer tie rod ends - replaced under warranty. I do not offroad - 90% highway miles. When doing this work, does Ford get paid to do an alignment? The dealer charged me for it - service manager said it is mandatory (and should be done after suspension...
  20. lost steering

I also had this happen to me (once) with my 2021 PB - it was parked on level ground. Truck was running and I could move forward/back, but no power steering. Turned off and on again, and it came back (and has been good ever since). No DTCs.
