We tried with ours and the tows with no luck. It sounded like it wanted to do something but nothing to back it up. Just annoying. Has anyone had any luck changing out their 12v battery pack and recommend any in particular?
That's the reason I got rid of my 2023 powerboost.

This thread has a link for a nice and safe LiFePO4 (Lokithor) one. This company has a whole line of Jump Starters and recently released a line with this battery technology. They have other ones too.

Also you will find information about some other brands too.

Did anything at all work when you got to it? I once went to mine, the doors wouldn't even unlock. That's when I learned there's a actual key in the fob. Anyway, the battery, when hooked up was at 2 volts. I tried jumping, and charging which didn't work. It stayed at 2 regardless of what i did. After I unhooked the battery, it went back to 12v. I had already purchased a new battery. That was a few months ago
The original battery still is good. I guess it was stuck in some type of loop. I'm getting ready to go on a 3 month vacation..... guess I'm going to bring my tools with me.
So your original battery was reading 2V when connected and 12V when disconnected and you think it’s still good?

Also this might be a ridiculous question but can anyone give me an idea of the proper way to boost this truck? We have attempted with our booster pack, and the tow truck now a couple times to boost it connecting directly to the + & - terminals with no luck. I’m now reading though that I should be connecting the cables to the + terminal and where the BMS system connects to the battery rather than the - terminal.

I have read that those are not as good as they use to be. I personally don’t know. I went with an interstate H7.

I think the PB under hood AGM 12V battery is an H7. I also have heard NAPA and Interstate mentioned, but folks have had success with a top of the line Walmart battery. I would replace the small AGM underneath the rear passenger seat as well. Replace the two battery 12V string in other words.
Read and highlight the manual regarding jump starting and battery replacement. Wish I had more to offer. Good luck ?

Thanks for the suggestions I’ll definitely look into replacing both. I did find out more from the dealership that my battery was fully discharged, a relay was flipped and needing replacement and that the potential culprit was a bad gateway control module. I’m hoping that it can be installed here quickly rather than having to wait as long as other people I’ve heard about but time will tell. Does anyone have any battery maintainer recommendations for the powerboost?

It is still good. I replaced it and i kept it. I've used it since in another vehicle. I'm thinking it was "stuck" in some type of electrical loop.

Would anyone have any idea how long the wait is for a new gateway control module? The dealership said it should have arrived on Monday but they keep pushing back the date and I'm really starting to get annoyed here waiting on this truck while still making payments.

Well after getting it supposedly ‘fixed’ at the dealership a month ago, the same issue happened again. We really aren’t sure what to do with this truck as now we’re out of town and were suppose to head home today. I don’t know if anyone has any particular recommendations we could look into but we certainly don’t trust the truck anymore. Has anyone done a buy back program in Canada? Does Ford Canada even do such a thing? Completely heartbroken
There is no Lemon Law in Canada and Ford knows it. There is an arbitration process but I've heard it is very cumbersome.

I insisted Ford buy back my 2023 PB that was having repeated SSN messages and leaving me sitting at the side of the road too many times, but Ford said that I had too wait longer as I wasn't upset enough yet.

Dealer said "well you bought the truck for 80K but it is now only worth 51K", this was after leasing the truck for 6 months, and two of those it sat on the dealers lot, so Ford wanted me to come up with 29K to buy out my lease.

None of the other brands would touch a broken truck so had to stay with Ford.

Fortunately the dealer helped out, but it still cost me a pretty big penalty to get out of that truck and into the used 2021 5.0l, and on top of that the interest rate went up quite a bit which made my monthly payments go up.

In some ways, I wish I'd held out for Ford to come out with the fix as there were features on that truck I really liked, and the new truck has features I did not really want, but overall I've been happy with the new (used) truck.

Hopefully they get yours sorted out soon.

It’s crazy to me that they would low ball you after such a short time. I don’t understand why we’d have to eat the cost on a faulty vehicle after paying so much.
