Mine makes a kind of whistle while pulling the trailer. It only happens when i let off the gas when going uphill. I believe that higher elevation also is a factor. I think it has to be the turbos. I don't know what else it would be. It's kind of a 3 part whistle... high low high... really...
I went from the stock tires to falken rubitreks. The tires that were on my truck were so bad that I would have to go into 4x4 so as to move in my driveway when it rains. I live in phoenix.... not much rain. Anyway, replaced them at about 12g miles. I now have put 20g on the rubitreks and...
In my limited experience...
I live in the Phoenix az area, I get 20mpg in town and on the freeway. Elevation low.
Last summer I spent 3 months inside yellowstone national park. Elevation between 7000 and 9000. I put about 2500 miles on my truck there. I always got 30mpg there. I know it's...
When i was in the park last year, I got 30 mpg everywhere i went. Obviously with out the trailer. I put about 1000 miles in during my stay. Does help the overall lifetime mpg.
At home I get 20.
Thanks for the info. I took mine last year from AZ to Montana with no problems. Going to do it again this summer. Did you use towing mode on the highway?
Mine is a little shorter, but about the same weight. I'll be in yellowstone for about 4 months this year, so it's loaded.
I got some falken rubitreks last June. I really like them. They were great for the 4 months I was in Wyoming, and pulling the tt about 3000 miles. I haven't been in much snow though. No noise, rain good.
Mine is working correctly now. At least for the last 2 days. Connects right, hasn't dropped a call, works without hardwire, even works with other bt items connected.
Must have got that update here?
In the past, i have deleted from the truckand phone and reconnected. It does help sometimes.
For the last 6 months, I plug in every time I get in, but it still doesn't connect for phone if I'm connected to something else.
I had some issues with mine. Mostly, the problem for me was my phone being connected to other blue tooth products. When I get in my truck, it automatically turns on wifi, which is ok, but if the phone is connected to certain items by bt, it won't connect correctly to the truck.
If the phone...
I have a 23 kr pb. Had it for a little over a year now, with no major problems. Just a new battery. I'm currently in yellowstone working. I pulled my trailer here from az, with no issues. Here in the high altitude, I get the best gas mileage I've ever got. I average 30mpg on any drive I...
I have a2015 platinum that I went through 4 windshields in the first year. I put little plastic guard on the front of the hood and have only replaced one since. They were all ford oem glass.
My new 2023 kr is a little over a year old. Never have had a issue yet. No guard on it.
Never...
At at 11,000 miles, I replaced the scorpions that came on my 23 kr pb. I stayed with the same size, but went with the falkon rubitrek at. They have a50,000 mile warranty. They are a good at tire, no road noise, and good for towing too.
I replaced the scorpions after the 2nd time I had to go...
I buddy dog seat covers.
They repel water, and aren't nearly as ugly as the pic looks. I put a set on the buckets, and back seats. They are cheap as well.
I put a set on my wrangler too. They have held up for over a year in the arizona sun of Phoenix... better than any set I've bought in...
I don't think I would need a back up battery. As soon as it was disconnected, it was ok.
Although, I am going to be towing a travel trailer, which has a 12v battery that I could use if needed I suppose.
Did anything at all work when you got to it? I once went to mine, the doors wouldn't even unlock. That's when I learned there's a actual key in the fob. Anyway, the battery, when hooked up was at 2 volts. I tried jumping, and charging which didn't work. It stayed at 2 regardless of what i...
