Try the sequence to reset the BMS talked about in the posted video. Key on/button on (don't start the truck); flash the brights 5 times, then step/release the breaks 3 times; wait for the battery warning to flash. This signals the reset of the BMS system according to Ford Boss Me video.got the truck back today with a new battery. Got it home, parked in the driveway. 2 hours later. Same issue. Multiple errors, wouldn’t start. Sigh…here we go again.
The other item to note is that everything else always works, doors unlock, radio works, interior lights, exterior lights etc etc. The issues seem to be tailgate won’t respond and starting won’t respond as seen in the videos posted. Strange that it would be a gateway module if it isn’t ALL systems.Still sits in driveway. I have been provided a Chevy blazer as my rental. At least it starts.
I do have a question for the forum, hoping anyone has an idea or help.
I’ve noticed a few things, and wanted to see if this changes any of the diagnostics. Anytime the tailgate does not function with the remote or manual button in the tailgate, it’s the same time the truck won’t start. It just beeps 3 times. However, IF it functions it also means the truck will start.
The bundles of connectors behind the glovebox. Is there one I should focus on to troubleshoot.
Since my truck sits in my driveway waiting for the gateway module, I can take a look at things that the service department may have missed.
