Considering you've been dealing with all this bullshit for six months, sounds like you may be close to getting some closure. My suspicion is that if you keep the truck, the memory of this saga will be in your mind during the whole ownership and if anything else happens with the truck, you'll question whether you should have dumped it. Take the buy back, walk away, get something else, start over, be happy. However, if you do take a settlement, it better be worth more than the depreciation loss if you decide to Carvana it in a year or two.

I'd be curious to see what the Carfax report shows.

It’s clean because it was warranty work.
I'd take the buy back and find the exact truck you want in a 25. You gain a year in depreciation cost which could be significant and you don't have to worry about paint issues cropping up a few years down the road. When you do go to sell or trade, any good appraiser will see that it's been painted and automatically lower the value. But, they may offer you a good settlement and make it worthwhile to keep it. I think you can negotiate on the settlement from what I've heard.

New member here. I just read all 31 pages...whew.

I'd definitely go with the buyback option...without a doubt. Give it back to Ford and go buy you something that is perfect for you.

Lastly, I'd recommend everyone to go over every inch of your vehicle before signing anything. If you buy from a long-distance dealer, it's worth the travel expense to go inspect it in person before it's shipped. Not a chance I'd buy a new vehicle without making sure I'm 100% satisfied.

Here’s the problem with taking a 2025 King Ranch. Now you have that ugly marsh grey paint on the bottom that some owners are having it painted a different colour to make it look good. My 2015 F 150 was repainted because of a hail storm about 9 years ago. The body shops paint was better than factory in my opinion.

I had planned to trade a vehicle in, but there offer was way below trade-in value. I got a lot more for the vehicle by selling it to Enterprise Car Sales. That’s why I decided to have it shipped.

If I were in your shoes I'd just take the buy back and start fresh. Sorry you got stuck going through all of this but hopefully you'll get a good outcome.

It’s hard to believe that it’s taken all of this time for Ford to give a buy back option. I’m in the same boat as several of the others and I’d take the buy back and start fresh with a new truck. You’ve lost depreciation from the 24 model to a 2025, re-paint, seat issues, etc. This would leave such a bad taste in my mouth that if another problem came up, I’d be kicking myself for not taking the buy back. Hopefully the offer is fair and you can find what you want in a 2025 with some good incentives, interest rate, etc. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes from here!

Ford sent me the offer, so now I’m on the hunt for another truck.
Granger treated you so well... Why would you look any further? :curse:

Is the truck at the body shop getting the paint work corrected? I wouldn't tell them Ford is buying the truck back.

I picked it up today. Granger’s pricing is good, but they weren’t helpful when I needed the help. In the end they payed for the difference for the rental, but it would have been easier on all of us if they would have swapped the truck.
