I drop off the 2021 KR off for oil change when I pick it up the dealership is saying I need to replace transmission fluid, radiator coolant, have induction services, and more. At 64,000 miles? Highway driven no off-road.
I called Ford Customer Sevice to ask if the maintenance schedule had changed and they were no help. Does anyone think any of these is needed?

On order ‘22 RCSB.
Not a bad idea to have fluids changed.
if you cant do it yourself find a local independent shop to compare price.
that front strut replacement price seems way high.

Ford warranty said to have the dealership explain why the strut was needing replacement as it should be covered.

The new scam I am seeing has been mentioned by someone else on another Ford Forum. I keep getting text messages from my dealer about a recall on my truck and to bring it in. Unfortunately, Ford does not have the parts yet. Up until the pandemic, I never had the "over sell" of services from my dealer. Now the religiously do it. Just have to learn to say no!

PS: dont get me started on the outrageous shop charges!

Actually, Ford has kinda changed their position on some of that:

I just follow the Ford maintenance schedule in the manual. That's the bare minimum IMO for warranty reasons. If I towed or hauled heavy loads often I'd probably replace other fluids more often.

I took my wife's SUV in for a few maintenance items and the service manager tried to sneak in a fuel system cleaning for $200. Nothing was ever mentioned that I wanted or needed it so I declined it. They'll do anything they can do to make a buck and catch unsuspecting people not paying attention.

Years ago, Ford used to have 2 maintenance schedules, a regular one and a "severe service" schedule. It basically cut the mileage intervals in half. If you read their definition of severe service, 90% of trucks fit into that schedule. I havent seen one for the 2025 I just got but I plan to use that concept with it.

Soneone should super glue this to desk of every service writer including the service manager at AutoNation Ford in Katy Texas. They excell at breaking every single one of these.

Most of that is BS.

I would say that the transmission fluid change is useful. The "official" 150k service interval is BS. That's basically asking for a replacement transmission.

Though, the dealer should be giving you a new filter and be doing a pan drop at > $300 .
