I pulled a 16' utility trailer (900 miles RT) and a 20' dump trailer (100 miles RT) without issues. Just be sure to turn off automatic lane changes.
From August 1 until September 20 I pulled a 21' travel trailer over 6,000 miles and BluePilot was doing the work anytime I wasn't on 2 lane gravel mountain roads.

Is anyone using this while towing? BC likes to induce wild ping ponging that causes trailer sway.. wondering if anyone has any experience with this.
I did not have a good experience towing a 20' cargo trailer. Trailer sway vs Lane Centering got kinda scary. It kinda setup a feedback loop. Works fine sans trailer

A lot of it will depend on weight distribution. If you get too heavy on the tongue, the contact patch on the front tires shrinks and the steering gets twitchy.

In my case, I'm pulling a 6k 22' MDC travel trailer, tongue weight is right at 580lbs.

Driving it is smooth. BC is like lkellar said. Terrifying.

Other have had luck.. it seems like it's worth the $1k gamble to me. Does the Comma ever go on sale? :D

Black Friday is usually the only sale. But in January they dropped standard price from $1250 to $999 for the device. Harness used to be $200, but last fall Comma dropped it to $100. Overall, since we got started the initial cost has gone from $1450 to $1100.

On a side note, the other night I forgot to plug back in the OBD connection after making some forscan edits. I was surprised that the comma didn't throw and error and that it was still operational albeit more twitchy. I have the newer harness with no cat cable.

ODB is only for power between drives so you don’t have to wait on it to boot up. It doesn’t affect driving at all.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you and others are able to discover with the rack. I myself don't have any input to give other than a massive thank you for all the time given. Especially hearing you mention 2am driving to have a clear road for testing. Greatly appreciated!

I can't get the PSCM to wake up and talk on the canbus network. Appraently there are a bunch of secret canbus messages that go out from the PCM and the gateway to initialize everything. I've bought a PCM, BCM, and Gateway from eBay, I'll have to build a full network on a bench. Now I'm waiting on those things to arrive.

My thanks for all of the work on this.

Physical install went very well thanks to your video. After getting staging-2.1 and your recommended lateral settings, it is superb. Better than Bluecruise 1.4 which I thought was very good.

It is so smooth on the steering I have little doubt it will work well with my trailer. Can’t wait for summer to try it!

Thanks again.
