From August 1 until September 20 I pulled a 21' travel trailer over 6,000 miles and BluePilot was doing the work anytime I wasn't on 2 lane gravel mountain roads.
This implies that 2021 and 2022 f250s/350s etc didn't have TRON. I was under the impression that open pilot would not work on those either, due to encryption. If I'm wrong that would be a nice tow vehicle...
Particularly because the plugs coming out of the trailer are male this would be quite dangerous because the unused plug would be hot anytime you are charging and one could shock themselves pretty easily.
EricR's solution is good. Because is the layout of my trailer I just didn't want to pull...
If you meant to plug a cable into the side of the trailer and run it to the hitch, I didn't have a good concept of how to do that in such a way that didn't look completely jankie while driving down the road. The camper just isn't meant to have things plugged in the side while traveling.
Hi,
Not sure what you are suggesting to do with the typo parrel, but as I indicated on the video, the trailer works just fine: you just have to plug in at the tongue instead of the side of the trailer. I don't consider that ruining the trailer.
I would have needed a transfer switch to use...
Doh! You noticed the thumb. Should have known, on a 14th gen forum... I didn't have a good pic of the truck/camper and a thumbnail generator recommended that as a 'F150 picture' and I figured it was good enough. I'll update it when I get a better pic.
Thanks for the note about the circuits...
I recently tweaked a few things to make it so that I could easily power and charge my travel trailer while I'm going down the road.
With this and the batteries I have in the trailer I can basically leave the Air Conditioner running, the fridge on AC, and anything else I need... All the...
Thanks for this. Just an FYI step 8 says to jump to step 8 (and 9). Those need adjusted. To prevent future issues with adding steps would recommend a couple of paragraph names (CALIBRATION, etc) that you can refer to instead of number.
Question that may or may not be public knowledge.. Does "the model" actually take advantage of all the inputs available to it for a given vehicle? My understanding is that the bluecruise capable vehicles like the properly-equipped F150s are using 4 cameras (front, back, side mirrors) and...
Assuming they don't channel their inner-Elon and that they actually hit their October target.... What's the odds that a new end-to-end model will require more compute horsepower in the car than the 3x can handle? Obviously the real compute intensive part is training the model, but how much...
I think I misunderstood as well. But, like you said.. well clarified. The techy side of me itches to mess with it but the logical side says that paying $1,450 for the hardware is a stretch based on my current driving patterns with the truck. If comma would offer another of their flash sales...
Know anyone in southwest Florida I could hit up for a ride in an F150? Just recently picked up a 2021 and Blue Cruise is............ ok... (it has a fondness for the right side of the lane that I'm afraid will cause a problem eventually) and I've got a subscription to it until Jan 2027.... and...
