I can't get the PSCM to wake up and talk on the canbus network. Appraently there are a bunch of secret canbus messages that go out from the PCM and the gateway to initialize everything. I've bought a PCM, BCM, and Gateway from eBay, I'll have to build a full network on a bench. Now I'm waiting on those things to arrive.

Capture it from a complete truck and simply 'play it back' to the module.

I'm working on that now (I'm in a hotel 1000 miles from home, getting some help from another member). It will be a good proof of concept but it will still limit me in what types of simulation I can do. I think a full work-bench is the best option.

I was watching guys try and hack an EV battery w/ its factory BMS into a solar/inverter system and they basically were using the vehicle's working condition to record what the car was saying to the batt on the can bus and were playing it back to it so that an arduino could control the batt. It needed various can messages in order to turn on the contactors and that's basically all they did was a replay attack and it was working.

However they ultimately just jacked into the contactors directly. The giant EV batt is bolted to the wall. Pretty funny.

I’ve read this entire thread and am impressed. I have a 2023 Lariat 502a Powerboost that does not have 360 cameras but everything else. Obviously, was not Bluecruise equipped. My experience with the ACC with hands at 8 o’clock has been very good. I tow a lot with a 7000 lbs travel trailer. All stock except I’ve replaced the oem tires with Goodrich KO2s with same circumference as oem. I’m about to take the plunge and order the comma. Be prepared for my questions. Any warnings or suggestions as I get started?

Make sure you order the 10-foot ODB-C cable when you order your Q4 harness and Comma3X.

provide them the driving data in the logs So they can analyze them.
