I just wanted to say thanks for this thread, it taught me a lot. Looking at what I need to have for my Lightning (I'm not going to do the Sunrun route, too expensive!) so using the 30amp from the bed will be fine. It's the same size as the gas generator I use today.

Nicely done with this set up. UGADawg96 - did you have a chance yet to see if the on-board power could handle the full load of these 10 circuits or do you need to use circuits selectively? I ask because I'm thinking about a similar set of circuits for my upcoming Generac 6852 install. Thanks for sharing - good stuff!

Can you tell me how you routed the GROUND wires in this setup? Does the Transfer switch have Ground separate from the Main Panel?

Easily handles 2 refrigerators, 240v Well pump, Septic pump, Window Air conditioner or 3 strategically placed electric heaters, some lights and other miscellaneous. When planning we simply added up the operating wattage of what we wanted to use and left 1000w spare for startup of the big items plus I wait 1 minute when transferring in-between each circuit

Hard to tell by your clipped post above, but assuming you're asking me. Looking at a pic with the panel covers off, it looks like the ground from the generac transfer switch connects to the ground bar in the main panel, but I don't have a 100% clear picture from when the electrician was here doing the work. Recommend you follow the instructions for the product.

Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I did, but get a Ground Fault at the truck. In speaking with a Generac Tech, he tells me this is a "separately derived system" and therefore needs an independent ground (i.e. not shared with the main service). From what I see in all these threads, they are wired as per Generac's instructions. Ground wire from Generator input connector to the same bus in the Trensfer Switch that connects to the main panel Neutral/ground. Go figure.

All sub circuit neutrals are wired to the Transfer switch neutral bus, which has a single wire to the main service neutral/ground buss.

I would have to remove my panel covers to verify all the connections here.

Without removing the panel cover, can you tell me whether your electrician installed a ground rod separate from the one used by your main service? Thanks.

He didn't install a new ground rod.

I’m not sure if this helps or not, but my electrician is a Generac dealer and originally quoted me for an install using a Generac transfer switch. When I told him that the F150 had a bonded-neutral generator, he changed his mind and went with a Reliance Controls transfer switch made specifically to be compatible with bonded-neutral generators. http://www.reliancecontrols.com/ProductDetail.aspx?XRC0303C. No issues running it with the F150 so far.

Maybe the installation instructions for the. RC can help you reverse-engineer the install of the Generac.

I had the wrong plug installed on my house that would have required dogbones on one or both ends, so today they replaced it with the same type as in in the PowerBoost. It worked great and actually powered everything in the house (3100 sq ft with 2 AC’s, 2 Fridges, chest freezer, etc) but the in cab display showed two circuits A and B and the A was only using 400 watts or so, but the B was using 3000-ish. But both gauges showed a max available of 3600 watts. Anyone know why?

Because that's how US power works - 2 phase to make 240v. So your house was using 3000W from one phase and 400W from the other. Was something wrong with that?

Because everything running in your house is only on that one leg. Sounds like when your panel was set up, they didn't balance the circuits that well.

You have transfer switch that is incompatible with the Powerboost.you need a transfer switch that switches the neutral from your normal power source to the neutral provided by the Powerboost
