Now I'm even more offended. I have a 5.0 ZeroBoost and your egotistical, elitist Powerboost along with his Ecoboost sidekick didn't even notice!!!

The OP's truck (which I HATE) might be the kind of truck that uses a fake "service animal" vest to take his untrained mutt everywhere and vapes in the grocery store, but your truck might be the kind of truck that says the word "literally" when it means the exact opposite.
If you started this thread here on this post, it would be very confusing lol.

Good point. For those on the forum that are new to this thread, I should give a little history lesson:

October 28, 2022:
I agree with the OP. I hate his Powerboost, too.

As you can see above, in concurrence with the original title of the thread, I have supported the OP and hated his Powerboost since last year. That thing really rubs me the wrong way. I used to think that Snakebitten's Powerboost was cool AF, but lately his truck has come off as patronizing and arrogant. I'm starting to think his Powerboost's Ecoboost friends are 5.0-phobic, too.

The OP's truck may be the kind of truck that listens to Nickleback, but Snakebitten's truck and it's Ecoboost buddies think that Jethro Tull is just some guy in the band.

I’ve read so much “good & bad” about PB –vs- whatever…

My simpleton ass went with as close to “the devil I know” as possible and I have ZERO regrets!

Even giving my horrific history:
https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/inside-your-2021-5-0-at-3500-miles.8526/

Yeah… they had to tear my 5.0 apart and blah, blah, blah ...at 3000 miles but THAT was obviously a freak of nature.

I’m just lucky that way! (Story of my life)

20,000 miles later my 5.0 is kicking ass and WOULD BE “taking names” if they could ever catch up.

I pull 1000lbs OVER my “rated capacity” regularly with no problems.

My little tiny RCSB 5.0 F150 is a friggin MONSTER and she never ceases to amaze me.

This is the moment your 5.0 goes home with the cute little Ranger the OP's PB has had his eye on the whole evening...chicks dig the loud pipes.

Update: I traded out of my 21 Platinum PB over six months ago and have no regrets. I pretty much lost the trade in value of my '17 Grand Cherokee. I got to the point that it would be a big mistake to keep it and loose even more money.

I got to the point where I was convinced it was trying to injure me as well. The automatic step boards would fail to extend, or randomly retract even if a door was open. I got hurt with that a couple of times. It had 4 recalls that were cleared just before I bought it, then just before I traded it, there was one for the windshield wiper motors and arms. And now 7 months since trading, I got a letter from Ford for another recall, but I didn't even read it.

For a vehicle that sold for over $70k, the build quality just sucked.

I know I read that wrong somehow. There's gotta be more to the story.
Other than recalls, (can't defend Ford for those) the retractable foot rails were the only failure?

Here we go again. Ol' Vin shows up to bring the thread back to it's original purpose.

Topic: Hating the OP's Powerboost.

Over one year later, I still hate that guy's truck. That truck shows up to Thanksgiving dinner and begs everyone not to talk about politics and then proceeds to talk about politics. It's the kind of truck that answers the phone in the movie theater and now watches football because of Taylor Swift.

Just an update, I took my PowerBoost to the dealer 3 weeks ago and was just informed they ordered parts for a "valve body overhaul". At this point the fact that they are doing anything feels positive.

I actually called 3 dealerships to see about getting the transmission checked and they all said would be 2-3 weeks before it could be looked at and no loaners available. I work from home most of the time but how the heck are regular people supposed to be without their vehicle for weeks without a loaner? Why can't there be a scheduling aspect where they say what day it can be looked at and you bring it in that day?

Anyway, I complained and was eventually able to get a loaner and dropped mine off for the transmission issues, power mirrors, and 20k maintenance (even though I am only at 17.5 but I just don't want to go back in a couple months). They gave me a brand new v8 f-150 sxt and I almost immediately felt the characteristics of the 10r80 which proves that I just hate this transmission. Mine has some extreme issues beyond the normal, it seems, so at least they are doing something.

I will be selling or trading this thing soon. if I could get a lightning without a 20k market adjustment I would do that because we love our Mach-E but I will not buy another ford or gm with this 10 speed.

My2022 f150 PB has the same problem in the When I first got it!!!!! 1 ,Ford overhaul the valve body at 4623 miles. Drove it for a while still had the problem !!Brought it back At 5966 miles second time They reset the transmission learning tables . still had the problem!!!Third time 11866 miles ford Dealer did a TSB 23–2250 Remove transmission and overhaul . and replaced the CDF Drum. Now every now and then it does it but not all the time the jerkin hard shifting . And that's one of many problems I have. If I traded it now I lose too much money but I can't wait to get rid of it

What's so amazing is my friend has a 2021 power boost at drives beautiful He never had a problem with it

I don't know when Ford redesigned the CDF drum in response to the potential sleave slipping, but hasn't that been since the release of the Gen14 trucks?
I think it was last year? (2022)

Love my PB.
Drove from CdA to Lewiston (only about 2hrs) in the snow last weekend.
23.8mpg in regular mode and 22.4mpg in Eco, both beat the crap out of my previous EBs.
Having a growler '65 Mustang you can hear from Botswana, we enjoyed listening to podcasts on volume 8 the whole trip ...

Ah interesting. I hate that it's so broad. I wonder what was switched in August? I had always thought my june 2022 was a job 2 truck.
