Dash went crazy tonight like it does when it's trying to grab an update but nothing new showing on screen. Might just be finalizing 6.2.0. ?

I was trying to change settings in forscan. The adaptor with not connect to the truck. I was getting a message about a custom tune. I went for a drive then it update to 6.2.0. After that I had not more issues connecting with forscan. It was wierd I thought my cable was bad.

No updates for me since the owner's manual update. My truck is a 21 Lariat with a 6/21 build date. I did notice my truck seems to be experiencing rough downshifts and like its searching for a gear on the upside. I had the dealer check the transmission fluid level, which was spot on.

Interesting, I had the same problem and also thought my cable wasn’t seating properly or something.

The other issue I’m having since the update is Ford Pass is reporting my truck’s location as Dearborn, MI.

My typical "tell" that an update has happened is to see the "MyView" menu show up unexpectedly. I always have "This Trip" selected, but if I see the screen change back to the top of the "MyView" menu, I know something got reset. (2021 King Ranch PB) Checking the FordPass app, sure enough 6.2.0 was installed.

Now FordPass says, "WHAT'S IN THIS UPDATE? We're unable to retrieve update details right now. Please check in-vehicle for the details or try again later."

The truck shows 6.2.0

Another update making small adjustments getting me ready for the bigger updates to come? Nice. I like to think of it as the update that opens the door for all the others to walk through.

(Ford, seriously, y’all need to work on your release notes)
Agreed @Tomatoboy but I think its really how software engineering works anywhere. See these examples.

You can try the old school reboot.
Disconnect the battery for couple hours. Hook it back up and see if that gets truck to communicate with servers again when it gets rebooted.

I've noticed the same thing, the truck changes to "My View" after being parked. Although isn't doesn't always end in an OTA, I'm pretty certain some interaction has happened between the truck and the cloud. I've also noticed on occasion that the parking brake is applied on start, yet I never set it on exit.

I did not have it reset the dash view this time for 6.2.0. Did get the clue from the presets going crazy as they do every update download though.

My parking brake sets automatically if I park on an incline. If I park on level ground, it does not. I suspect that was added as a new feature via some update. I don't recall it doing that when the truck was new.

The UI may not give the explanation, but in case of Microsoft that KB # lets you find out more, and I’m sure Google and HP have release notes *somewhere* from experience. Ford doesn’t even bury the release notes on some support page somewhere, they just never give them, ever.

I too am having the issue of showing truck in Dearborn, MI after 6.2.0 update last Friday. I have tried uninstall reinstall of Fordpass with no success, I have not tried unhooking the battery yet but may give it a try.

I got 6.1.0 on 10/26 and then 6.2.0 this morning 10/31. No apparent changes to how my truck behaves with either of 'em. FordPass is showing my truck location correctly.

My OTA updates history, just FYI:
Ford F-150 Ford Power-Up 6.2.0 OTA FORD POWER-UP UPDATES LOG

I've not encountered any problems with any of these updates ( knock on wood?)

EDIT - chart replaced with version corrected per info provided by @rugedraw (with Thanks!)

For your record keeping chart, 6.1.0 is a GWM update, so no way that could have given you a different Sync version. 23-PU0724 is the APIM update that gave you Sync 23159.

Thank You Sir! I've corrected my chart accordingly (y) :)

Does 23-PU0724 have a number in the "x.x.x" format as I've got in the 3rd column of my chart?
