Ford Pass v5 - now available

It’s 5.0 beta and everything I used before is there for me now. Not concerned with things I never used.

Just got it today. So far it seems snappier than v4. I like it.

You can’t drag down on the screen to refresh tire pressure to get a current reading. It also doesn’t show where your gas tank is in relation to full, just shows distance to empty. I think the old version is better.

Wasn't being a jerk, ya kept showing v4 stuff which is odd. Not to say 5 is better, it's missing a lot of functions for our trucks. Can't believe they have a whole team working on this and some kid cranking out a random app can make better progress without feature deletes.

Yet I had 5 beta all along like I said from the start.

I used it to start my truck today and it shows time remaining and a button to extend the time. I know it's in beta and missing other features, but I like this so far especially the slide to start vs. holding the button. I can use this while on my mountain bike.

Agreed. It would be so nice to see a few more of these simple things, ie running/not running, window and lock status, inside temp, etc. Oh and get alerts when the alarm goes off ?

It also does not show Pro Power Onboard info anymore. Got rid of that in a hurry.

If I open the app I can see history off the event but it won’t push a notification to my phone, even with appropriate settings.

I would say they built this new version for EV first and will start working on ICE solely based on the features the EV guys have in comparison. Hopefully they will start adding in the ICE features.

I got an invite to try version 5 mid week.last week with a deadline of 4/1 to respond by. Someone needs a new calendar at Ford.
