Is there a way I can tell how charged my battery is from either the app or within the truck?
I use an on-board diagnostics reader (OBDLink MX+) to catch the exact value that the truck references. In theory, you should be able to get close by measuring the battery voltage. In reality, the system does magical things like jumping 14% overnight as mine just did.

I have an OBDLink EX and Forescan, still learning how to fully use it. I can plug that in and see if I can figure it out in there. Thanks!

And to add, we paid a large premium for these trucks, that have features we wanted and were willing to pay for, only to have some random update essentially stop said features from working as before the update.

First world problems still suck when we paid for them, and they quit working.
Wouldn‘t surprise me if FORD is trying to figure out how to make these features pay for use applications. Zone lighting and those of use with PPOB on screen app power consumption, lost those features some time ago and as yet have not returned.

If you had the "OBDLink MX+", you could've just used their APP straight from your smartphone for a quick system(s) check.

They could have charged all along like GM does. For the time being at least, someone at ford doesn't want to feel like a sleazebag. GM on the other hand has zero qualms about being the douchiest of the sleaze --- charging for features even when leaching off of your wifi AND selling your driving telemetry to lexisnexis.

@SlayerWezz It’s very easy to setup. If you have the OBDii dongle already, you can download 1 of 2 apps (or both as I did) to monitor a multitude of data from your truck’s systems.
OBDLink or OBDFusion. There are advantages to each. OBDFusion allows a connected phone (carpplay/android auto) to show a non-graphical list of your selected data THRU the sync display.

Below is a screenshot of OBDlink app and a great template put together by a forum member @turbopilot

Being able to monitor state of charge of both the 12v battery and the hybrid battery can definitely give you some insight. You can also monitor the realtime draw/charge amps of the systems.

the 24 I have just received this update last night but had the climate control before the update, so it may not be directly tied to it.
I didn’t have the climate control before the update. Or at least I don’t think I did. I rarely use remote start.

Went to Google play last night. There is no newer version (for android) than what I have and no climate controls yet. But it is pestering me to add Alexa and streaming now.

I have a 2022 F150 Lariat / Black Widow and am running FordPass 5.16.0, but still no climate control options in the app when I remote start.

Anyone have a similar year & model that has received climate controls in the app yet?

My Dad has a 2024 and has them in his app…
