My only concern but maybe for people that really take there truck off road. You can see where the plate curves up in the back middle and come close to the plastic transmission cover and if it got pushed up it would do some damage to the transmission. Kinda a poor design to me :(
While that may be a possibility, I would wager that any event that puts a point load on the plate with enough force to bend it in a few inches at the center would likely have smashed straight through the transmission pan into the trans itself without it installed.

I will see at my first oil change if I need to either drill an access hole, grind some material off of just simply remove the skid plate. Sorry, not there yet.
Hello, any updates on the oil plug access? Lots of great pics in this thread but didn't see any highlighting the oil drain... I wouldn't opt in to remove this pan every oil change.. thanks!

It's right at front of plate..I used parts from the diaper to make a flexible panel right under oil drain plug

Thanks Senior, I did see your pics further back but didn't connect the drain plug for some reason. I'll check it out on mine some more as I had the diaper until it ripped off.

there’s a small plate that you need to buy separately to cover the oil drain plug access. Without the additional plate, you can easily drain the oil…… no removal on the main splash pan needed

I have a ValvoMax installed, with the hose it makes it even easier and cleaner

Hello, I did have to cut a small notch on the right hand side of the plate to get easy access to the oil plug. I also installed a Fumoto oil plug valve to make oil changes a breeze. I will not be able to do anymore updates on the f150. I sold the truck and upgraded to a f250. I was misled by a car salesman about the towing capacity of the f150. In fact, the problem is payload. With real numbers, not car salesman numbers nor RV salesmen numbers, I only had 20 pounds of spare payload with the f150 (max payload of 1500 pounds). So it definitely could not make it safely. With the f250 (max payload of 3000 pounds), I have the whole F150 payload of spare (1500 pounds). This is a (costly) lesson to remember… a lot of car salesman and RV salesman don’t know what payload is.

Can anyone comment on how this affects road/exhaust noise? IE is it louder than the diaper?

My 24 Powerboost didn’t come with either. I installed the metal “splash pan” as well and the forward piece. I didn’t notice ANY increase in noise

Same as @FaaWrenchBndr. Mine didn't come with a diaper either, but I didn't notice any difference in the exhaust after installing the Raptor variant.

I had diaper. Noticed no difference with this steel skid plate at all. Love that about these F-150s, so quiet inside. You really notice it when you drive other vehicles that aren't...

So I finally installed the skid plate on my 24 powerboost. Like previously mentioned in the thread, the coolant lines were getting in the way but I found some low profile stainless steel bolt (M10-25-19.5) online that works nicely. Here is the picture to show the flat bolt head under the coolant line.

I did add a flat washer under the original coolant line fixing bolt as the added skid plate had slightly raised the plastic part that is holding the coolant lines. It is probably fine without adding the washer but I figured that it could take some stress of the alumni bracket.

The bolt is probably not as strong as the factory bolt but I think that it is probably still fine (and better than not having a bolt at this location).

I ordered the Raptor skid plate for the transmission, as well as the OEM skid plates for the front suspension and transfer case.

Can anybody tell me if there are torque specs for the bolts that attach the skid plates to the frame? I haven't come across anything yet, but will keep googling.

Honestly for something like that I'd go with the German value of "Gudinteit"
