I fix software bugs!
I wouldn’t think so, maybe a little since the exhaust flows a little more. Most of the restriction comes from the catalytic converters in the Y-pipe.

Grew up calling it compression braking. Sounds better than vacuum braking.

My Borla (dual rear exit) hasn't had any effects on mine. I've had it on since last fall and drive mainly in Sport mode in town.

Yes others have said I wouldn't think it would change very much. These factory exhausts are so good these days that I think the performance benefits of anything aftermarket exhaust related are severely overstated. There's not a lot of performance left on the table for that anymore.

Unless you want to reduce 1/4 times by a few 1/10ths of a second performance exhaust and intake filters are a waste of cash. My stock exhaust is beautifully quiet at idle and nut cracking when hammered.

I believe some are missing the context. I'm towing 7k, going downhill. Does the the factory exhaust provide better back pressure to assist in engine braking then a free flow catback?

Transmission mapping will have a much greater effect than the tiny amount that some reduced pressure would cause. Even changing one model of tire to another within the same brand would have a greater effect. I think overall the point I’m trying to make is that it would be minuscule, but I could be wrong.
