This really is painfully slow… I understand now why most dealers won’t do it.
You don't know the meaning of slow until you have to use CAN bus to update modules. :)

FYI this is on Motorcraft Service website.

Ford F-150 ECU module programming guide using FDRS Screenshot_20231202-130425

There are also updated terms and conditions to accept once you do login.

Just speculation here but those with login issues might need to go on Motorcraft Service website first to update login and accept the new terms.

For what it's worth I've always used email to login when I created account back in April using Ford unified login across websites. Not sure if I'll have issues with FDRS until I actually use it again when there is another IPC update.

Here's one for the Hive Mind ...

Did the SCCM update today via FDRS ...
everything went fine, however now I have a DTC that consistently shows up on the SCCM (no issues previously).

Lost Communication With Image Processing Module A

SCCM - U023A : 08 : 2A
U023A = Lost Communication With Image Processing Module A
FT : 08 = Bus Signal/Message Failures
ST : 2A = Current DTC Fault is currently present
This module uses GGDS Format 00 DTC descriptions.

SSM 52078 2021-2023 F-150 - DTC U023A:08 After Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) Reprogramming
P:NETWORK COMMUNICATION CONCERNS U0140:08, U0146:08

Sometimes I can clear it out ... but then on next key cycle, it comes back ...
Other times I cannot get it to clear.
Like I said, no issues previously.

Went for a drive ... everything seems to be working fine. Lane keeping assist, (don't have blue cruise).

The software version that FDRS is showing for the SCCM now is RL3T-14C579-BD.
Previously it was ML3T-14C579-AH

Still on SYNC 23159 Rev 915
No other updates available.

2021 Tremor 403A
Thoughts?

Future IPMA update will fix that, nothing is broken. There is some Ford notice about it posted earlier in thread.

Awe Damn! Missed that else I'd not have wasted efforts doing the update.
Hard to keep up with all the traffic on this thread ... even when receiving email notifications on updates ?

Thanks for the heads up.

Another strange thing I noticed tied to this update...

If I actually have the wipers stalk in position 1 for Rain Sensing ... it throws another error when I try to "clear and retest" ...

Not only does it keep the SCCM DTC ... it adds a DTC to the Wiper Stalk Switch pack.

SCCM - B124E : 96
B124E = Wiper Stalk Switch Pack
FT : 96 = Component Internal Failure
This module uses GGDS Format 00 DTC descriptions.

N:DTC B124E:96 OR B124E:9E N:DTC B124E:96 OR B124E:9E

So they definitely have a few things to clean up.
Until then ... will ignore.

Thx again
Eric

Apparently confirmed in this thread, they said going to Motorcraft website to login when FDRS was not working fixed it.

Found Jeb's post #11,075 on 11/21 that called this out.

Just an observation, but it "feels" like the transition from electric mode to gas engine mode on my 2021 Powerboost is much rougher after the latest PCM update.

A PCM update clears all adaptive tables and depending on the driving conditions or habits, it can be a bit harsh while the values are re-populated into their tables.

PCM updates aren't exactly instant gratification, if you know what I mean. :)

And as crazy as it might seem, I have had the best luck driving in Sport Mode during the first few key cycles, while "relearning" is taking place.
I don't drive any more aggressively than I would in Normal mode, but it seems like the Sport shift strategy influences a good adaptive table dataset?
Maybe because it doesn't skip gear ratios? Maybe because it's more consistent? Maybe because it's more deliberate and doesn't hunt or act indecisive?

Then after about a 100 miles, or maybe 1/3 tank of fuel or so, I return to my regular driving preferences.

That's what I figured (resetting the saved configuration). You don't need to ask me twice to put it in Sport mode... ;-)
