I really don't understand,
People the Clore Automotive PL2320 20-Amp Fully-Automatic Smart Charger is the perfect Power Supply / Charger / Maintainer when doing these updates, especially Large ones.
Sure your 10a or lower battery / trickle charger "Does Just Fine" for smaller updates but if your going to spend all day updating your "80K Truck" (another things that triggers me, we're in a F150 specific Forum, we know how much they cost), spend the money and get the right stuff.

Just and FYI, When your little charger has a "Power Supply Mode" but is only a 10A charger, guess what, you get 13.5v but only 10amp - NOT ENOUGH!

This is from the Clore
When the unit is operating in Power Supply mode, the display will show “PS” and the green Charging Complete LED will be lit. In this mode, the charger will supply steady power with a goal of maintaining steady system voltage at 14.1VDC, allowing the current supplied to the battery/system to vary as needed from 0-20 amps. If there is an increase in system need, the charger will react to it and supply as much current, up to 20A, as needed to maintain system voltage. If system voltage drops below 13.2VDC, the amber Charging in Progress LED will light in addition to the green Charging Complete LED to alert you that the charger may not be keeping up with system demand.

Oh and those 100amp chargers - ?

Just my little morning rant, sorry.

The internet wouldn't be the internet without dissenting opinions! Having personally been burned with a bricked 2014 after tuning, that was likely due to a weak power supply, I shall never run that risk again!

I am a big fan of the Clore and use it myself, but your quote from the Clore owner’s manual actually gives some weight to @morrisosu ’s point. In power supply mode, the Clore is designed to maintain 14.1 volts. But in practice during active programming, I never see the Clore keeping system voltage above about 13.1 volts and the fan is constantly running. This 1-volt shortfall from design specs means that the Clore is not keeping up with system demands. Fortunately, 13.1 volts is adequate and I am comfortable using it during programming. But make no mistake—the Clore is being pushed very hard and doesn’t provide much margin for error. It’s a fair point that a beefier power supply could provide a greater comfort level. Personally, I am a fan of the 100 amp Clore PL6100. But at $500, it’s overkill for me.

You may hold off on that. THat update doesnt make any sense. It would be rolling you back quite a bit.

THe update files are

188 - ML3T-14C206-DAD
124 - ML3T-14C205-BAE

Current software

188 - NU5T-10F906-GAB
124 - NU5T-10F902-GAB

I checked several 21s.. THey all have it.

This software came out in 22. So its really strange. Not sure what the plan is. They are not new
Doesn't show up for my 2021. I'll consider myself lucky!

Volts are not the problem, it's amps.

That is incorrect. Stable voltage is more important than amps. That’s why programmers recommend power supplies and not chargers because power supplies are designed to maintain stable voltage and allow amps to float.

Do you think it would be wise for @TJSparky to turn off auto-updates in case they push it out OTA?

I should have mentioned my truck has the 8” cluster, so that also might be why.

I just noticed my "Camera in Motion" has been disabled. I only have the tailgate backup camera when in reverse, but did have camera in motion. I did update everything I had in FDRS in November. Has anyone else lost this, or is this only my truck?
