In addition to @Snakebitten suggestions, if you can still find a laptop with an ethernet port on it , it can be handy if you don't have good wifi we're you'll be doing the updates. I ran a 100' ethernet cable from my house to the garage and it made downloading the updates from Ford severs very fast.I'm planning to buy an updated laptop to do this on my stuck truck (only have an old Win 8 laptop and a MacBook). Should I be looking at getting a laptop with Win 11 Home or Pro for FDRS? Thanks!
Great! Thanks for the info both!In addition to @Snakebitten suggestions, if you can still find a laptop with an ethernet port on it , it can be handy if you don't have good wifi we're you'll be doing the updates. Even if you have a laptop without ethernet you could always buy an adapter. I bought this for mine with USB C.In addition to @Snakebitten suggestions, if you can still find a laptop with an ethernet port on it , it can be handy if you don't have good wifi we're you'll be doing the updates. I just did my IPC yesterday. It errored out with USB stick but worked through the can bus. But it did take forever( about 5 hours).Happy easter everybody - so I took the plunge on a Mongoose, FDRS license etc. Spent a good chunk of yesterday getting everything available applied. At this point down to an IPC update that won't apply via USB.
As for the IPC update - USB stick gets created fine, then I insert and the Sync display says a couple status messages about Indexing the drive , etc. But then it just sits. I've left the truck running in my driveway for over an hour but no activity on USB, no error messages, no status messages. Finally gave up and the update failed.
I've also not seen yet an update for TCU, APIM or Gateway. Wondering if I might be stuck per this TSB - and have to follow these reset procedures?

Attached is my sync version screen grab as well the IPC update that is not applying. Would love any pointers from the group. VIN is 1FTFW1ED2MFB35283. 2021 Platinum Powerboost 3.5

Thanks - saw that option but with family commitments today not in the cards to kick that off. Anyone know if after IPC updates should I expect them to see APIM/TCU or whatever is left. My mission here is really to get BlueCruise enabled.I just did my IPC yesterday. It errored out with USB stick but worked through the can bus. But it did take forever( about 5 hours).
This is correct. You can select no when it asks of installed successfully. Let it install via CanBus.I just did my IPC yesterday. It errored out with USB stick but worked through the can bus. But it did take forever( about 5 hours).
Excellent. Will give this a try over the canbus. This is correct. You can select no when it asks of installed successfully. Let it install via CanBus.
No other updates will show until teh IPC is done. They are sequential so after its installed more updates will be released
Ok. It takes 5-6 hours as stated. So please make sure charger is good to goExcellent. Will give this a try over the canbus.
Correct.@dzacco the short answer is no. Updates must be applied in order. Sometimes there are two or three to choose from, but there will be a dozen more that will not show up until those are done. you basically have to follow the FDRS roadmap.
