I have both of the ones I mentioned and ended up buying the PL6100 when it was clear that the 2320 wasn't going to keep the battery going during long updates.I’m using the PL2320
Others have posted in the Mach-E forums that instead of buying a comparatively expensive PL6100, that they instead just bought a second PL2320 and daisy chained the two to keep the level up above the minimum (10.0v I think is the threshold for failure).
You can pull one of the clamp covers off to do this:
I wish I had thought of that before spending the money on the PL6100 instead. But all of my chargers get used around the garage anyway. So it hasn't gone to waste.
Alternatively, and as a temporary solution you can just pull another vehicle alongside and use jumper cables with the engine running on the other vehicle. I had to do this on my first IPC update. I got the bigger PL6100 after that experience.
