Usually you can just restart the process. Don't freak out about the blank instrument cluster. A power cycle would probably bring it back... but go ahead and try to run the upgrade again.
power cycle and it’s still out. Going to retry it tomorrow and will sit with it to hopefully make sure it doesn’t die again.

When I updated my truck I didn’t put in power supply mode. This time after seeing posts about being in power supply mode I used that. Could that be causing the issue?

What’s the deal with the acm asking if I’m here for a woofer install. I hit no and it says things are up to date. That would leave me with just one module at the end of this “needing” an update?!

I had/have the same ACM update on my truck. I did the install and found the sound was different and I didn't like it. The update changed how the amp handled the low frequencies and I don't have a sub. I did a PMI and removed the update. It is still on my list, but I just ignore it.

What sort of powersupply are you using during programming?

Clore Solar PL2320?

Clore Solar PL6100?

Regular battery maintainers or chargers won't work, you need one with a "powersupply mode".

First off, thanks to the pioneers in the forum who figured all this out and for the write up and manual in the original post.

I was successful updating my 21 f150 yesterday. Took right at 8 hours. 2 gwm updates and 2 apim updates and the dreaded ipma (took 3 hours alone)update were the brunt of it.
Trying to make use of my fdrs subscription, was going to help my neighbor update his 21 ST explorer today. It has sync3 but I’m guessing the process is all the same.
questions though, Are the servers down for maintenance every Sunday? is there a way to tell if they’re up and running? And if they’re down what time do they usually come back up?

You never know, it hit and miss on that. Who knows
I've found that trying every hour on a Sunday usually results in success. I was on earlier this morning. It will usually go down for about an hour and a half starting around 9 central. But it varies and in fact it's up right now. But sometimes it will go back down for an hour closer to lunch time. Dunno why.

FInally done!! 12 hours of total time and a toasted charger. Luckily my neighbor had a spare. I have everything now!! Blue Cruise, bed camera, full screen car play, etc. Why couldn’t the dealerships figure this out? It blows my mind. It wasn’t extremely difficult, but it was indeed time consuming and tedious.
